Unless of course that is as offline as they will ever intend it to be. I wonder why so few people care about Google's datamining, it scares the hell out of me.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2010Yeah, how will Google collect information and sell it to advertisers if you are offline.They simply embed the adds within the downloaded maps. While you navigate, it surely will pop up 'places of interest' based on your current location - it couldn't be any more simple than that, so, yeah, selling ads will work just fine for Google.
