Now I am in a big trouble about which one to buy - Mi 5s Plus or Mi Note 2?
Definitely I like both phones
No edge screen shortcuts functions, what is the point of having the curve screen display??? We need a phone with aesthetically good looking and also practically used like samsung S7 edge and Note 7.
jasonL, 25 Oct 2016I knew Note 7 conspiracy was their job. Now a Knock off were born. CCP just did it again! can you just go to buy a flip phone? everybody likes cheaper price ,and without explosion. your talk makes nonsense
How to buy it? I'm indonesian. I will really hard to buy it in indonesia because of some reasons. Anyone can help me?
I can't believe that xiaomi didn't make it QHD. What a disappointment for me. Mi note 2 miss the opportunity to be a true flagship killer.
techlover1, 25 Oct 2016Okay generally speaking, mainly there's 2 drawback/downsides, first the lack of the SD card &a... morewhat are you talking about? Huawei and Xiaomi are already larger than the likes of LG, HTC, Sony...
raky, 25 Oct 2016dude, just buy DSLR if you want good photos. photos from phones will not be as good in next de... moreOf course not. Some DSLR's have been outdated by smartphones by now, but obviously thats also an evolving market and will always have better products than the ones before, so on and so on. Good luck taking your DSLR in the pocket dummy, phones exist for a reason. Also not everyone is gonna waste 5000$ or 20000$ for a camera that can see an ants face upclose.
rRohan28, 25 Oct 2016no need to unlock, it has full LTE supportSo..it's gonna work with T-mobile full speed ?
No mention of the Active (Wacom-like) Digitizer & Stylus, a would-be "FLAGSHIP" (Wannabe) would front as a serious Note 7 Competitor: Guess Xiaomi still has to Show Me - I jest don't see it yet; Howz bouts 'u', students?
Though I wouldn't say it's super pixelated, I would not buy a full HD oled panel with a 5.7 inch screen.
My past phones:
316 ppi oled galaxy nexus -> 318 ppi ips lg optimus g -> 424 ppi lg g2 -> 424 ppi sony xperia z3
And more recently 518 ppi oled s6 edge + and now 534 ppi oled s7 edge.
The mi note 2 is 386 ppi.
Having used a big range of displays, my opinion has changed over time and Samsung currently produces the best displays.
The pentile matrix actually has a rounding effect and makes texts less pixelated looking and brightness and white accuracy is now very on point, compared to that in the galaxy nexus.
However, these displays are 2k, and the mi note 2 is only 386ppi.
I noticed a massive difference when I went from the 316 ppi nexus to the 318 ppi optimus g.
In the 300 range off ppi, I don't think oled displays just have the clarity.
For oleds I would not go very high 400s ppi and for IPS mid 400s ppi.
This is from my experience as I can tell the differences in clarity and I am far away from having perfect vision.
Also, having less clear images, though maybe not blatantly clear, will stress your eyes more and tire you out quicker, just like lower frequency.
What differentiates this from the Mi5s Plus? I dont get it...except for slight improvements in the camera it seems like exactly the same phone, same size, display, ppi, battery almost identical, same marshmellow os
is anyone really going to pay $200 extra for the edge panel which makes it even more expensive to replace the screen?
Kettzy, 25 Oct 2016Do you put your mobile inside your eyes? Most of us do these days especially with VR
what happened to the Mi Note 2 "PRO" !!!????
The PRO was meant to have the QHD !!!
