cant beat my note edge / always preferable unlike stupid edge of s6 s7
To say I'm disappointed in an understatement. No QHD display and such a low PPI, no dual camera, no OIS, no water resistance and more expensive than expected.
This is poorer version of the s7 edge, and you get what you pay for.
Not a flagship killer this year unfortunately.
mir, 25 Oct 2016LG V20, HTC 10, iphone 7/7plus, etc. Lot's of choices so stop whining.HTC 10 is great. LG V20 not available in lots of countries, Motorola Z force also unavailable... Get the HTC 10 curved in the right places to hold easily not the wrong places to distort your viewing experience.
Looks like once again a great flagship killed by a crappy camera that cannot compete with Samsung's F1.7 lens of the S7. When will The Chinese understand that? :) Waiting for DXO to destroy it.
No buy from me for this only reason. If they went for a double cam rated at F1.7 I would buy immediately.
pika2000, 25 Oct 2016LOL, Samsung got out-copied, and even now the Note brand will be hijacked since Samsung would ... moreSamsung have all but confirmed the s8 and note 8 will come out as is, when they told consumers they could get those phones as a part of the upgrade program yesterday.
Also, Samsung sells curved displays.
But yeah, having a global version is a good step forfward for xiaomi. Let's hope they take the international market more seriously, hopefully in software too.
Did, 25 Oct 2016Do you watch your phone from 5 m. distance?Do you put your mobile inside your eyes?
Okay generally speaking, mainly there's 2 drawback/downsides, first the lack of the SD card & second that the 5.7" display is FHD instead of QHD. But for the price of $520 i think its quite worth it. And for that price you can go for the 128GB version, & you get dual curved display as well. So i think that Xiaomi did a good job. Generally speaking all the Chinese brands are doing a good job & they must be as an example for the big dogs/top brands such as Samsung,LG,HTC,Sony,Apple and so on!
AnotherNerd, 25 Oct 2016No it won't. Average person won't notice big difference for a screen that is above 350ppiI'm the eagle-eyed one then
LOL, Samsung got out-copied, and even now the Note brand will be hijacked since Samsung would probably discontinue the Galaxy Note branding.
One thing I'm glad is that Xiaomi is supporting more LTE bands. Past Xiaomi phones have always lacked some bands, even for Asian countries. One thing I like about Xiaomi on their newer devices is that they allow dual sim with the secondary SIM standing by on 3G, not 2G like other (all) dual-sim phones out there.
Man, thats the biggest copycat of Samsung possible. Also, gotta wonder how easily this one would break when JerryRigEverything get his hands on it :p.
