wmohsin, 26 Oct 2016What I fail to understand is WHY are they coming up with a set (even on Android platform) with... moreThe last of the set, the Mercury, is expected to have a keyboard. Specs should be pretty low-end, though.
Anonymous, 26 Oct 2016If Blackberry does not redeem themselves with this phone, then is time to accept that users go... moreThat's funny, how is Blackberry more usable and good? It's just an OEM. I buy an Alcatel Idol 4S and it's the same thing, minus the bloatware.
Anonymous, 27 Oct 2016Yeah... more like brand loyalty nowadays. BlackBerry loyalist here but without bias, DTEK60 is... moreNo doubt. Where did their bad reputation came from? I had three of their BB10 devices. All of them were outstanding. Rock solid. I am excited for this one. I feel that for the first time the true colors are starting to show with the competition. One explodes, the other one has the touch disease and the other one monitors your life.
"You get some added piece of mind thanks to the secure bootloader, Hardware Root of Trust and some added productivity in the right enterprise environment thanks to BlackBerrry's own apps, such as the Hub and Calendar."
Thank you BlackBerry for giving us an added "piece" of mind. This will surely help.

If Blackberry does not redeem themselves with this phone, then is time to accept that users go by Trends rather than by whats practical, usable and good.
KMB877, 26 Oct 2016Maybe, but mine Axon 7 works flawlessly, probably the best phone I ever owned beginning 1993. ... moreThe Axon looks good. So does the Blackberry. To each their own. No need to bash or make any brand better than the other. Truth is they are all square, can make calls and the majority of them have the same internals. Well all except that exploding samsung
Why IPS and Quad HD res, you should need to put super amoled and 1080p for better battery life and better display
SDKforLumia , 25 Oct 2016Am I the only one here who feels this DTEK60 is a better device than Google Pixel for its price? You are not alone in that thinking. Pretty much everyone shares the same view.
Come on we all knew how bad Blackberry app battery usage on Android...
Shaikh, 26 Oct 2016does the cell support whatsapp n viber n line n wechat ??
i am using passport n seems they ... moreIt's an Android device, not a BB10 device like your Passport.
So, it has ALL Android apps available, but with BlackBerry's security and software (like the HUB etc.)
The best of both worlds and the price is a bargain!
Definitely an amazing deal on a phone with such high specs and hardware!!
It costs $100's less than the Google Pixel and has better specs and camera.
It costs much much less than an iphone and it has a headphone jack and better specs.
It also costs much less than a Samsung and doesn't burst into flames when charging.
The DTEK60 is a bargain!
Plus it comes with BlackBerry encryption and security and BlackBerry's software and HUB etc.
This is a steal, I think BlackBerry might actually have a winner here.
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2016Pixel killer.
Which one will get security updates faster?
It was always neck and neck be... moreI heard about this new phone coming out that's going to receive security updates at least once per day. FINALLY. The month-long wait for those updates is sooo agonizing.
It's only gonna have a 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 2MP rear camera, but man... those security updates.
pupusad, 26 Oct 2016Zte axon 7 software is a joke, compare it with blackberry software Maybe, but mine Axon 7 works flawlessly, probably the best phone I ever owned beginning 1993. I believe the additional $100+ per each phone BB is asking for, is way too much. $425... $450 was more than acceptable.
