Nokia is now the only company that still stand behind and support Symbian, every other company have already abandoned the outdated Symbian. Nokia sell a lot of cheap phones for those who only need a phone to make phonecalls. Nokia is the largets brand in Afrika because it makes the ceapest phones.

People in the United States kill me with their lies. Most of them never bought a symbianm device ever and just jumping on the hate wagon towards Symbian. They first off don't sell anym Smybian N-Series device with any carriers in the states and most of the editors who talks about Symbian is either Apple fanboys or Android fan boys. Android is hot garbage and way overrated and the Iphone is a good phone but Apple only have one phone. The os on Android is not that appealing at all in no shape form or fashion. My N900 kills any device out there on the market and just about evey way except camera and video and that's just because it's not hd. So most of the haters have no clue about Symbian at all

Symbian CAN support higher resolutions, Nokia E90 got a 800x352 resolution, but this made alot of older apps incompatible, Nokia simply don't want that.

distributor, 08 Dec 2010OK GUY´S . let we say ANDROID have 1Ghz cause with lower will lag . and Symbain dont ... moreAll S60V5/S^3 apps are made for 640x360 resolution, if they change the resolution would be a compatibility problem, iOS could change the resolution because they simply doubled it (480x320 to 960x640), if Symbian doubles the resolution, would bhe 1280x720, that's TOO MUCH for a phone. But would be the only way to make older apps compatible, Symbian and iOS were not made thinking on thousand of differente phones, Android is the only OS that can support different resolutions without too many compatiblity problems.
And I never said that Symbian is better than Android, Hell, I'll say again: Symbian is for MID-END phones, it's not for High-End anymore, MeeGo that will be aimed to the High-End market.

Show me any device which can play pes, fifa, sim3, avatar, monkey island, and others!! we also know nokia users are people who like to spend 30 dollars on ph. nokia has biggest share for that market.

but let we say in mostly ANDROID phones screen resolution is 480x800 , while Symbain CANT SUPPORT THIS . maybe is same with PROCESSOR , Symbian cant support 1Ghz who knows ??? Symbian user´s are NOOB´S AND NOKIA´S OLD-FASHION Fans . is true .

What's ... moreNokia already announced that they will be releasing updates for the Symbian platform. There won't be Symbian^3 or ^4, it will be just Symbian. Kinda the same thing that Android is doing. They are releasing updates for their platform that make it better. This is a good thing to anyone who isn't stuck up. It tells you that Nokia is standing behind their platform and will support it.

Even so, ... moreI never seen the N8 lagging as you are saying, but I've already seen alot of Android devices lagging. The Symbian web browser is not good really, but you can simply use the free Opera Mobile that is alot better.
No one cares if the iPhone 4 sold 20 milions, everyone knows that iPhone users are the most stupid ones, most of them are brainless rich people or Apple fanboys, they simply don't care about funcionality, they care for fashion.
And while Apple only have iPhone 4 on the Market, Nokia got hundreds of phones that sells for every kinda of people, just like all Android sales together beat iPhone 4 sales, iPhone is the only phone from Apple, that's another reaseon for this crap device sells so much.
