LG Optimus One P500 won't be getting Gingerbread update Comments

Got an email form LG today ( 24th May 2011 ).
My question was : Will the soon to be released update for the LGP500 ( Optimus One ) be an update to Android 2.3.4 ?

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your e-mail.
There are currently no plans to further update the P500 past Android 2.2 at this point. We recommend sporadically checking the LG blog at www.lgblog.com. This is where we will first show any information regarding further updating our handsets.

Hey i hve a lg optimus.i updated it to froyo 2.3 but eventually it end up with froyo 2.2.2 . Can u tell me why was that?????

But after updating, it's showing that the android version has been updated to 2.2.1 but not 2.3 :(
Does anyone have idea on how to update it to android 2.3?

i don't think we can get the 2.3 or any further versions for LGP500,
LG P500 is a demo only, what they can give the maximam that is what we have now,

LG has succumbed and agreed to LG Op1 P500 supporters' pressure for upgrade to OS A2.3 Gingerbread finally. LG is still optimistic about its users and its future potential share of the market. Please see the report below for more info.
