The apple's developers are bashing hard even the Touch Bar model.
Read it in BGR(one of most Apple promoting site):
'Developers and creative pros are blasting AppleÂ’s new MacBook Pro'
So?

asdfwww, 28 Oct 2016Is there really a big difference between 1866MHz and 2133MHz DDR3-RAM? I don't think so. The b... moreNo, memory speed is more important than CPU or GPU speed. Most of processing delay happens because of memory channel bottleneck.

What's not mentioned in this article is that the TDP of the low (15W) end 13" is half the TDP of the touch bar model.

Great pricing!! :v :v
It's amazing how the Macbook Pro now costs the same in Dollars as in Pounds... So in the UK I get to pay a nifty £2700 for a standard, unchanged 15" Macbook Pro.
The previous model with i7/16DDR/512SSD was £1600 until last week on Amazon...
So it's just a £1100 price hike!
I was waiting for the new Macbooks to decide on a new laptop. Macbooks and MacOs have always been my favorite thing about Apple, always though iOS and iPhones were super overrated.
For that money I'll look for a proper Win10 laptop now. I'll probably find one coming out with Kabylake, DDR4, Nvidia 1060, Oled display and a better keyboard (Hate the one on the 12" macbook) for half the price...

Again, Apple adds a gimmick to make bigger sales. They don't think that Microsoft' Surface Book i7 could be a serious threat?

Basically, the new Macbook Pro without TouchBar is a new Macbook Air 13. They share the 15w CPUs. The 2015 Macbook Pro should be faster than the new Macbook Pro w/o TouchBar.

viveksubhash, 28 Oct 2016you know..you guys should really look into better titles for your articles... and i thought i... moreGiven these Intel CPUs are akin to what AMD calls APUs, the GPU you get is directly tied to the CPU model. So yeah, the Iris card you get varies according to CPU model.

Do note even though these are GT3e GPUs, they are actually marketed as just Iris (not Pro).
I can't really tell you what's missing (if anything), given I still hadn't the chance to get my hands on a similar model.

Waited 5 years for a new MBP update and all we get is a price hike and another gimmick feature. They could have gone with a larger battery and more ram. Instead they decided to go thin because it's the innovative thing to do and sprinkle on a touch pad that professionals will not be using. MBP is used and relied on heavily by professionals on the go. Apple has really missed the mark trying too hard to appeal to the socialites and emoji warriors.

It's time I switched to bigger and better things. SMH
