I have been a BB fan for years, but no longer. For about one month now, I cannot make/receive phone calls on my PRIV. It is absurd how long it has taken BB to resolve this software issue with ATT. Bye BB, it is no wonder you are no longer a leader in this industry.

And it is worse as you leave fingerprints on the very device it self.
BUT as you might well need to unlock the device scores of times a day, realistically either people use short passwords or none at all, or with very very long time outs, and in that perspective a fingerprint is MUCH more secure.
Actually I think that the best solution would be an Iris scanner, combined with an eye-blink pattern detection (think Morse-code like). This would be VERY easy to use, and quite hard to fake...
If the secondary camera got an LED it could even be combined with the detection of change in pupil dilation with random light intensity changes during the iris scan... That would be quite hard to fake.

With a password, as long as its long and complex enough it could take months or years of trying to brute force it even with a powerful computer.
Still one of the few phones ive got a soft spot for. Still really expensive, even secondhand from ebay.

It is the least bad phablet available IMHO.
Sure it is not perfect, but the least bad.
The only REAL problem is the lack of a fingerprint reader, that is really silly for a device that claims to go for security.
(I also got an AT&T model, but luckily is not on their net, so do not see the described issue)
Terrible device, they have not made a good device since Bold 9900.
Would someone please tell AT&T to tell their employees so they can tell their clients. I have been in the stores and with tech on the phone (landline) in the last 48 hrs. I love my BB Priv best smartphone out there and for a work a jewel. Im sure BB will fix it, please fast I need it for work and don't have a back up landline for work.
