I was going to buy the x10 but I didn't buy it because it had an older os, right now I have the htc desire. But I'm keeping my eye on the X12, it looks damn good :D

I'm afraid your wrong, the only reason Sony and samsuck ditched symbian, is because it was a dieing platform with no potential. They chose android because it is the future, and their sales really did boost up because of this!
Just compare how many SGS'S sold compared to omnia HD, also compare how many X10's sold compared to satio and you will understand the difference. Symbian was just not good enough and it still isn't.
Nokia need to get their act together and release meego otherwise their market share will decline more and more.

That's what I'm trying to tell him, that symbian is old, symbian was not built for today's technology and generation. Android and ios are far ahead symbian, I don't get why is he so stubborn, it doesn't make sense.
I told him meego may have a chance, but symbian no way, nokia keeps optimizing it but the truth is they should get rid of it! But Nokia is slow as usual, they are not the leaders of the mobile industry they used to be, and with this attitude their market share will continue to decline like you asserted in a previous post.

I just bought a Galaxy S Vibrant for Bell in Canada two months ago. The internal sd card quit working all by itself. So the phone does not work at all. Evidently this is a very common problem with the Canadian Galaxy S. I have been trying for two weeks to get my Galaxy S fixed. Samsung tells me that if the phone is unlocked, the warranty is void. I have bought one to two HTC smartphones per year since 2004. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. Buyers of the Nexus S beware. Samsung really doesn't care about its customers. Furthermore, the specs of the Nexus S are not great. The US version works on T-Mobile which has a great HSPA+ network running. However, the Nexus S only supports HSPA. With all the internal SD card problems I've had with my Galaxy S, I'm really surprised that Samsung has no external SD card on the Nexus S. I was so excited to get my Galaxy S, I loved the screen and its processor. Too bad Samsung doesn't put quality into their devices, I was really hoping to try out the Nexus S.

Try ... moreDude, there's no use to try and reason out with this kid. I'm not gonna sugar coat it but Symbian is a pile of crap. No matter how you dress Symbian, even if you put on the best hardware on it, it still sucks! It's an OS that's not built for touch screen on a touch screen device.
Android will just keep on trampling Symbian and Nokia.

so far i'm not liking the layout and then icons........but it does have potential since it's a multi platformed OS
like the meego tablet
now that looks nuts have that layout on a phone and it's PURE WIN

plus they make their own phones and software
look at google how many manufactures are kissing their rears just to have android in there portfolio
and look at all the problems they are all having
firmware issues
battery issues
eg
LG and samsung
don't wanna or don't think their phones can handle a firmware update.......i've never seen that with symbian at all

X10 is one of the most stable one out there. Did even try an x10 before. Ho. I forgot you have a N8 with a shitty os. Wait and see how x12 (anzu) gonna kill it all. Only good thing about n8 is the cam but no led flash XD. Go try the x10 v2.1 before bashing it you old fag. Nokia is losing some big part of the market due to the android familly.

Symbian is a dinosaur OS compared to Android and iOS. Nokia decided to use Meego on their future N series phones and ditch Symbian. The reason for that is simply because it doesn't stand a chance against Android and iOS. Nokia's shares took a 67% dive since the iPhone started selling in 2007. The people voted with their wallets and ditched Symbian for Android and iOS. Nokia lost $77 billion in market value since 2007.
How do you explain that loss? Yes, that's right... People think that Symbian sucks and is behind times compared to Android and iOS.
Sorry, but people believes that Symbian is outdated or Nokia would not lose that much to Android and iOS. That's a fact.

What are you talking about? Do you know that the X10 is the most stable android device in the market! And I mean it.
I went with htc desire because htc provide me with the latest updates of android, unlike sony who are slow in this department. However, I really respect sony for their high quality.
At least Sony never released buggy froyo updates like samsung and moto did ! Now I'm thinking of the SE Anzu which will have android 2.3 on board along with a 12mp,HD recording and an amoled screen.
I advice you to give it a try as well, because you may like it ;)

sony had a 12mp camera with xenon flash and a led flash as well a year ago.
So now your h... morethey ditched it cause nokia didn't want them skinning the crap out of it like they did with android
you see how bad the x10 runs because of that skin it has XD
