AnonD-606209, 04 Nov 2016I agree with Big, I have owned the Gear, the Gear S, and currently am sporting the LG Urbane (... moreHe may be implying that this increases the number of devices that needs regular charging..laptop tablet, and according to most people in gsma that removable battery that they simply cannot live without(unless its an iphone).. Its an ongoing process...people hate bezels...apparently..but when the MiMix came with ultrathin bezels people are worried about the screen cracking..irony in the interwebs...
But you are right..i have not personally used a smart watch but i have friends who use them and they seem happy with it and not put off by charging it every night..
Another thing..these watches have inbuilt spo2 hrt rate monitors..do they work when you are walking? Are they fairly accurate? Usually pulse oximeters need us to keep the finger steady, and gives bad reading when we have a fever or there is a chill in the air..any thoughts?

Mos... moreI agree with Big, I have owned the Gear, the Gear S, and currently am sporting the LG Urbane (wifi only) it doesn't bother me to take it off and charge it every night. In fact I haven't worn a regular watch now for 4 years, the steps for charging it every night or every other night are just part of the bedtime routine.
My only irritation is that I do with the Android family would get it together and agree on one system. If everyone goes to Tizen then that would be fine, if they go to Android Wear that would be fine as well, either way I'm happy I have had good experiences with both so far.
I'm confused about Battery Issues, is this based on the whole G7 Note thing? Because a 4 day battery on a wearable sounds great to me. Even if I do the same thing I do with weathermen (I always +/- 2 degrees from their forecast) and cut the time to 3 and a half I'd still be stoked.

This is supposed to be the longest lasting watch in its caliber. And Tizen is one of the smoothest and seamless OS currently available on a smartwatch. That's why other manufacturers are in talks with adopting it. When that happens, the app availability should explode. Which it might anyhow if this watch's sales are successful.
Food for thought.. most people charge their phone EVERY night and take off their watch every night.. so what's so wrong with and what extra steps are there with charging the watch ? At least the thing will last as long if not longer than your current smartphone.
Still a niche product due to the battery life issues and lack of Android Wear 2.0 sob sob. Most of the coolest wearables in the near future aren't going to look like watches but Google will have to support that circular interface anyway for all the people who like big circle watches on their wrists. I'd rather something a bit lighter, less flashy and unassuming, oh I dont know maybe like the new Huawei smartband... /s. More like the SWR30 now that is an incredible wearable unlike almost any other.
