If I have note 7, ill do the same thing as well on keeping it. Disable autoUpdate and its fast charging feature. To avoid possible incidents
d, 05 Nov 2016this proves that N7 is irreaplacable. no other device can replaced my N7.This proves that you people only care about yourselves and not the safety of others. Just to lust over your curvy Note 7 that could ignite at any moment.
AnonD-94869, 04 Nov 2016Leave us alone to use our Note 7 as we want. We paid, we know the risk, leave us alone. It is ... moreyou are right, i just make sure these:
do not over charge
if it hot , turn it off for 5 minutes
i have spare phone, if i travel i use my note edge instead.
60% battery is stupid move :)
AnonD-597093, 04 Nov 2016Hard headed. If something happens then what? are you gonna cry and complain about what happene... moreJust let him be. Once that phone of his goes off when he's in an enclosed space with other people like in an elevator, then he will regret his decision. Of course while passing out from the toxic fumes.
It's been what? 3-4 months now? My Note7 has no issues, why am I still being forced to return it?
There has been no instance of overheating, had left ot on fast charge and wireless charge countless times overnight... and nothing. Mine is fine Samsung!

The kind of people like him can only think about themselves and not the safety of others. Once that bomb of a phone goes off, its not only him that could be put in danger, but also the other people around him. Of course he doesn't fly. But what if it happens when in an elevator? All of the people in it including him are gonna suffocate from the toxic fumes. It can happen in any enclosed space.
I wont upgrade. I am happy with my Note 7. Best Note ever.

I understand that for many of us note users, the note 7 is currently irreplaceable. Mine was still working splendidly but in the end, i don't regret returning it. Got myself a cheap alternative with the j7 prime which is not half bad at a third of the price. But next year, im banking on the note 8.
This is a very clever strategy from Sammy to minimize the return of Note 7. This will reduce the further loss to the company financial.
If Sammy really care, the limiting charge would be 0%.
You can see how cunning is Sammy.
I still see the Note 7 here in Singapore being used...
Apparently one told me his set has no issue, he turned OFF fast charging and never exposed/test the phone's waterproof feature...

Send all the updates you want Sammy. I can care less. I don't even use my Note7 anymore I'm just hanging on to it till Samsung comes begging me to Sell it back to them at my price.
AnonD-94869, 04 Nov 2016Samsung, i am not your lab rat. I will sue you for destroying intentionally my Note 7 with ill... moreOne doesn't simply sues Samsung without expecting to lose massively, unless you are Apple... Or another huge brand...
Can you not change the imei to prevent it from auto updating? I bought a stolen nokia n95 8gb years ago. It wouldnt start up. Took it a dodgy phone shop and they changed the imei for around £20.
