It looks like both the iPhone 4 and the Galaxy S have not been adjusted to 100% brightness.I have an iphone 4 and I know its screen is a lot more vibrant than what is shown, and from working on a daily basis with the Galaxy S- I'd also say that it has a brighter dislay than shown. i.e the comparison seems unfair.

Mobile devices can only go so far before the resolution becomes irrelevant. Retina is at that point, so now it comes down to power usage and other visibility factors.

It’s BS. My story was just that I would not be surprised to see a better RETINA because the know how is out there.

but lcd is always gonna be brighter
they are using retina display so it requires lcd and not led so this is bs from lg cause retina can only be achived by lcd and not led

Thats a photoshopped image. See how the time and all the icons in both phones on the left are the exact same...yet the time is different on the iphone.

Can't someone please stop commenting on how LG is on a roll because of this! Until I see some concrete proof and not some obvious photoshopped images I do not believe in LG right now. Look at the damne pictures. How sad is it to have an exact photo copied samsung screen image onto the LG screen image with the brightness being edited up. LOL.
