Huey have made a bad decision. Tech savvy customers know who made the google phone. Huey have given HTC a lifeline. Long live HTC!
Wise decision for Huawei. Huawei is trying to build its brand, and doing the Pixel won't help them.
Meanwhile HTC is bleeding money, so better than nothing for them.
I don't blame them, I find it a wise decision. Besides, HTC has manufactured devices for companies like O2, T-Mobile, IPaq etc before they started to make and sell the phones their own brand name. And HTC needs the money.
This actually makes sense, some companies want to make a name for themselves. But that others just wanted to glory more, saddening.

Why Google did not make Pixel by them selves?
They have wonderful dream, but why still need somebody else to make the dream come true?
The same with Apple.
It will be perfect if they did the complete work.....(also pain in the buttttt) LOL
When GOOGLE ask Huawei to manufacture their phone. Huawei replied : NO huaWEI(WAY) I will not do it for you ! :D

Huawei makes impressive phones... In terms of built quality... From where I'm at only top end Huawei models are sold, so can't say about their lower end offerings... Their battery life is solid, playing with the likes of Sony...

It would still be an advantage since tech reviewers would... moreThat may be, but perhaps they saw right through Google's greed and decided to not go down this path. It could help them being a co-manufacturer of Pixel phones, but I don't see the sales numbers reach the Nexus threshold (unless I'm wrong), so perhaps not that much exposition? They are doing pretty good on their own, 3 consecutive years they haven't had a bad device in their line up (in EU for instance they are becoming really popular these days). Keep up the good work Huawei.
Awesome, so we got a rush job with HTC, lacking a decent level of water resistance and stereo speakers. So pleased.
Was their logo even on the Nexus 6P? It would still be an advantage since tech reviewers would still mention them as the producer all the time along with google in their reviews. Then the tech savvy people who buy google phones will then go on to tell their friends that these huawei made pixel phones (just an example) are really good. That would still be a great exibition of their brand. Too bad they have too much pride for their own good.
