except iphone users which should be used to phone calls drops by now, all others will be badly surprised by 4g at this moment. currently it is only about data rate, which yet again favors data traffic over the voice (read as "iphone users gain"). and speaking about iphone 4 and 4g - well - mr. Jobs certainly is not so stupid to implement LTE into iphone years before it is available in his "home" partner mobile network. Furthermore there should be iphone4g, then iphone4gs, etc. :-)

            My Q is,
will we be able to use this phone as 3G with our normal sim Card?
it will support GSM network as well. Right?

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2010ITU has declared WiMax and HSPA+ as 4Gthe true 4G phone will be out in 2012, the 4G term here is just marketing gimmick. the true LTE is defined as where the voice is over IP and the data rates with DL will be 100mbps in ideal env and 50mbps in Uplink in ideal environment.

so all these phone are not 4G but 3.75 G, HSPA+ is not even close.

For starters android is open source platform and manufacturer can develop skins thems and other aplications build in with their rom's . This isn't problem for google yet the manufacturers who are lazy ipgrading their roms on new version of os. IOS is one mobile phone os and it is closed os like wp7 which isn't open for moding and developing eye candy desktops like android os. I agree that android needs to put restriction on puting custum stuf before it is on mobile phone than if user wants different skins and thems and etc. download any other custum from htc or samsung like sense and TouchWiz .

what is the whole damn point of all these android phones coming all with same functionality and may be a bit more speed than each other when it takes 1 year for HTC to upgrade its firmwares to the new versions that bloody Android keep bringing out twice a year. i am fed up of Android the way it is dealing with consumer minds. it should learn from IOS and WP7, one update for all phones no matter which company has produced it. i have Xperia X10, it is running 2.1 after 9 months of being out of date. with 2,3 just out it is still out of date.

only the sony ericsson phones batteries lasts more than any other android phone.

I only will be impressed if it has a battery that lasts 16 hours without disconnecting the internet/WiFi and stopping synchronized apps. If not then you would lose a customer to the iPhone.

Just for the record, iPhone 4, among other current smart devices, are already 4G enabled. This standard is still not available apart from a few Nordic countries. From the user's point of view, lets see if carriers show a great use of it to justify the fares we all know. I believe HTC make well performing devices, but in matter of Marketing and Design, they still have a long way to go.
