ssbatman21, 21 Nov 2016You are right but what i mean is that 'bolt' is a step backwards for htc, older display panel,... moreI do not accept your judgment.
HTC10 evo (Exact same bolt_660 euros) vs Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro (500 euros)_I do not own any of them
i use informations which already provided in this website (www.gsmarena.com):
C9 pro_Display:6.0 inches fullHD_I do not think it is same lower res version of what is on GS7
bolt_display:5.5 inches UHD Super LCD 3
Screen Protection_C9 pro:None VS Evo 10: Corning Gorilla Glass 5(latest Gorilla to date)
Chipset:SD 653 on c9 pro vs 810(by the way v2.1 with warming levels similar to 820)-SD 810 has the edge
RAM:6GB vs 3GB , internal memory:64GB vs 32GB , Battery:4000 mah vs 3200 mah
Camera: specs are in favor of bolt(OIS + higher resolution Movie recording) and i believe it will be much better than C9 pros in the field.
Body: bolt has IP57 ( i do not know any not flagship phone that has it) VS no IP
So I very think compare to C9 pro it definitely worth the 100 more price tag.
another thing_Samsung does not always has a led notification light which is annoying(I only seen them on their GS series-a good rgb one actually)

Quit try to cover Samsung y... moreWith current strategy of launching phones with outdated specs, being only reliable is not going to help HTC to survive upcoming years. I am fan of HTC and used HTC One m7 & now on HTC 10.
Apart from these two phones I don't see any good phones from HTC in last 5 years.

HTC's mobile division has been bleeding money for a few years now and despite having great smartphones, they can't achieve the same success as they did with the HTC One M7 smartphone. According to new rumors, the company is considering the sale of its mobile division.

HTC and Sony's sales record and balance sheet is enough to prove there is something wrong with their strategy.

Everything could have been justified with a lower price.

"The Snapdragon 810 chipset inside the Bolt is most likely a new revision, but an HTC 10 costs $550 and it has Snapdragon 820, so thereÂ’s no reason for the Bolt to cost $600 and have such an old chipset."

THIS!

Why is this mistake so obvious to 93℅ of the people on this site but not to the execs at HTC? Is anyone actually in charge over there?

What a shame. I love the look of the HTC One M7 and that phone had the power to really create enough momentum to push HTC up to Samsung sales numbers. In the end HTC lost its way just like Sony. Both companies are selling underpowered devices at hiked prices, trying to recover profits. It's just not going to work. Chinese manufacturers are getting it right by giving us consumers good hardware at great prices. HTC doesn't stand a chance unfortunately.

Someone Else, 20 Nov 2016If only the price was about $300, maybe HTC would get some love from the crowds.I don't know about it. I personally wouldn't want it even if they paid me the money it costs. It's just useless without 3.5mm and it's mediocre in everything else - battery, chipset, no stereo speakers too.

With no stereo speakers and no 3.5mm, this is the last phone a music lover would consider buying. And they really don't offer anything else. Insane.

ssbatman21, 20 Nov 2016But s7 edge is also a premium phone with better specs and it is cheaper so other than hardcore... moreand i did not vote for HTC did it... i do not see if hardcore is necessary but may be it is for those who want HTC but say: sorry HTC you do not have a waterproof phone. and GS7e is all things but a damage resistant phone(a two side glass phone can not be -at least for now). all phones are good actually. I personally prefer HTC designs over other brands for now and i think people whom agree with me on this are in minority (not necessarily right) but it is a free market and no one has a convincing reason for others(it's not like every samsung explodes or every iphone bents). I won't recommend a phone for everybody. go see what fits your desire_budget,design,performance,camera,durability and...
