Well latency is there for about 2 sec. But still it has problem with connecting to video in conference mode (more than one video). Or maybe its not yet supported.

On 3gs, I checked the skype, but voice is coming late after video. But its a good news for this new year. Its good that we can have video chat with desktops.

[deleted post]Yeah it is a great achievement for iphone...in one month maybe they will discover sms or bluetooth or any other stuff that other phones have discovered years ago. As allways marketing does anything they want because many people are, how should i say this,... naive and uninformed

Fring app lets you do this already, it works with 3G/Wi-Fi and also with Android. Tango is another one

Don't see the hype tbh

What's the big deal? I been using video calls with the Fring app or Tango for ages now.
They work over 3G or Wi-Fi and you can use with Android users.

...or does this do something that they don't do? o_O

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2010Don't fret, all this iphone mania, been video calling since 2004.First on a Motorola A1000,then... moreYou know why video calling is so big on the iPhone even though it's been around for ages on other phones? Steve Jobs said it himself, it's the "Reality Distortion Field". It's the motto of Steve Jobs, to convince people through superficial charm, half truths and marketing that Apple invented fire. And these people actually buy it, although Steve honestly says himself he is manipulating his buyers. Now tell, is that sad or what?

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2010but skype cant work on my galaxy s and desire hd...!!!!!!!Don't fret, all this iphone mania, been video calling since 2004.First on a Motorola A1000,then nokia 6280,then Samsung F480,Jet,and now Galaxy S.The after service (if you need it.)is a LEGEND on three, but three nailed video calling for me years ago.Tell you whats strange though,i've seen a lot of articles saying, NO ONE REALLY uses video calls, and I'TS NOT COOL or IT'LL DIE A NATURAL DEATH,but how come now, (however late to the party.)that the iphone can finally do it, there is this pretend revelation. That old samsung F480 is just great at video calling and my Galaxy S has taken it to a realm where the iphone just can't follow and all for free (inclusive minutes early contract any network). But like most of you out there I'm pleased for the normal iphone user at this time. Its just and only an iphone, and its just and only finally got video calling.......great?!
