I buy samsung galaxy j2 last Nov 20,i choice samsung since i notice that it's a good brand,but after 1week when I wake up in morning my phone is not working anymore.I don't know why.and i didn't switch on anymore!i go to the store where i bought this phone.they say that i will bring phone in to the main office at Dagupan,Pangasinan.but til now no responce yet.where they that they will get info what the compony said..i buy phone coz i need it.but til now no response at all...I need whatever comment or action what samsung company will advise to my Question???,

Strict laws about consumer rights but it's just that they don't see Ph as one of the countries which provide them good income since people in here are all practical. We don't pay for the brand, we pay for the product.
Anonymous, 24 Nov 2016Not true. Singapore is in SE asia. Consumers law are very strict equally to the west. Singapore is just one country in SE Asia, hardly representing the region, and no, it doesn't have as robust consumer protection laws as Western Europe/US.
And yet no words from Samsung about the cause of faulty note 7 units.
Wonder if any arrangements will also be made for customers in China. I turned in my first and second Note 7 with zero compensation! Had to travel 3 times to Hong Kong from Shenzhen (that's 18 hours) and they refuse to call me for information (because they don't call to China). Now, more than 4 weeks after turning in my Note 7 I still did not receive my money......

Am sure Samsung will not allow things like rhis to happen again. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 will be carefully examined before released.

In SE Asia, especially developing countries, there are no such laws. Samsung doesn't have to do anything. I mean what can you do as a customer? Nothing.
