Nokia N8 is very good phone. Feels like rock solid..and symbian^3 is Hardcore OS am lovin' it....:)

HD video recorder is very very very nice. Don't forget Navigation. They are both with me when ever I need.

People who said iOS devices are the first mobile to have skype video call, N900 is the first to have it way back in May 2010. Moreover it comes with the phone and don't need an app.

-i think he's talking about apple's restrictions. I don't believe specs sells most of the time. All my classmates want an iphone, and they don't even know things like clock speed and resolution(yeah they're not tech geeks like me, when i try to explain, they don't even look like they're interested). They like iphone cause it's cool. And it can do games and music and apps installation, what a magical device! And very expensive so it must be of top quality(i'm not doubtful).

-you don't have to take them seriously. If you think there's no best smartphone yet, don't you think that's enough? Though i will get irked if someone says iphone is the best because i hate apple's restrictions, iphone has the amazing ability of dumbing people down(connecting to itunes just to delete a file, wut?). Iphone is good for what it does, but not on a broad category that is smartphones. Yeah, you can hate me now.

You should also probably know that for this bug to be replicated you got to be doing some pretty specific things right? Its not like it happens to every text you send... Stop reading titles of blogs and assuming things.

improvements to its iPhone in the past
4 years, 14 were standard features of
Nokia phones in 2006, BEFORE the
iPhone 2G even launched. And the last of the 15, half of that (half retina
display) was on a Nokia phone in
2008. It is a fair argument to show
that Europeans have demanded far
more advanced smartphones for
many years before the Americans discovered smartphones, and Nokia
has a deep understanding of that. Why
is it that Apple's original iPhone didn't
support multitasking, or MMS, or
videocalling etc etc etc. Apple did
understand the PC world, and it optimized the iPhone to be a 'pocket
computer' like the son of the Apple
Newton, but it was not designed to be
a modern smartphone - as you know,
Robert, the original iPhone 2G didn't
even allow users to install apps to it. I do not mean that Nokia is miles away
ahead today. I do mean, that Nokia
has been developing consumer-
oriented smartphones far longer
than Apple or Google or Microsoft (or
Palm or RIM) and they, Nokia, do know a lot about what consumers
want. They - Nokia only in its
smartphones - clearly outsell the total
handset production of Apple, RIM,
Google branded Nexus phones,
Microsoft's defunct Kin phones and all Palm smartphones - combined.

i dont really get it,why are apple fanboys crowding every forum trying to justify there purchase and steve job's statements like"don't hold it that way".....
can't they accept that FACT that the n8 is a much better phone than there icrap...
P.S i am not a nokia fan,i am an android user and fan...

another thing people are investing too much in a brand it feels just like the internet back when it started and oh how am waiting for the iphone market bubble bursts and oh yeah most of the games you mentioned they are either coming or already are on S^3 which to honest is a bad way to use a smartphone (Games are for passing time which means angry birds or cut the rope if you play other than those two games you have way too much time on your hand and no body told ya yet but when you recharge your batteries very often (playing games will get you there) your batteries will die ahead of scheduled so good luck with that.

in the next major update, symbian will get a new ui, a better browser with html5 and flash 10.1 support. i dont see anything to complain about the capable broadcom bcm 2727 gpu. and new apps are already available for symbian 3. did ios and android started off with 300k and 100k apps respectively? guess not....

In Saudi Arabia , where I live , distributers are having difficult time to convince people into buying an N8 . The phone got its price slashed by 30% in three months . Still most people would prefer the known to every one Korean brand when shopping high end . For most people Nokia is a winner only in the low end basic non feature phones .

iPhone 4 has wonderful games, most apps, and looks amazing, Android phones have Flash 10.1, N8 has a good camera but without focus(for artistic effect you want the subject in focus and the background out of focus sometimes). So there is no perfect phone. But for sure N8 can be the best phone since it lacks three important features: graphics, apps, flash 10.1. Also has the worst browser of them all.
