Anonymous, 30 Dec 2010Ok, Iphone 4 sold more then Nokia N8 the first week. So by your logic, Toyota and Nintendo Wii... moreWhat's with the antennagate? I'm not sure which country are you in, but most of my friends in Malaysia, Singapore & Australia don't use a bumper and their iPhone 4 works fine.
Anonymous, 30 Dec 2010You do know that iPhone 4 was released 7 months ago? Nokia N8 was released beginning of last m... moreWho said Apple sold 7.7 million units in the past 7 months? And N8 was released last month? Wrong info. Go cry for yourself.

But it is hard to find 100... moreIt's hard to find 100 useful Symbian apps on OVI store (in fact, it's impossible), but it's easy to find them on other sites, the applications i most use are not on ovi store, like jukebox (best music player), slick (msn, yahoo, google talk, facebook im client), smartmovie (divx, mp4 and other video formats player), coreplayer (multi formats player, like avi, mp4, 3gp, wmv, mp3, aac, etc.), jbak taskman (best taskman application), auto hangup (the name tells everything, auto hangs up your calls), x-plore (best file manager), xelnex lite (best conversation recording app...

XXX, 31 Dec 2010Glad to see Nokia is still #1 in the mobile world.
Well done Nokia.yeah, with ever decreasing market share...espeically in the high-end smartphone markets.
Even the low-end segments are being attacked by the Chinese brands...
Many articles are available thru Mobile Review regarding the "success" stories of the almighty brand.

But it is hard to find 100... moreOvi is getting bigger and bigger with time, It might take 10 years to have the 290,000 farting applications that App store has, and i do admit some apps on the iphone are good, but you can't really keep saying that the app store has 300,000 apps. it's biased.

Alui, 30 Dec 2010Yea, sure. Nokia lost millions of customers (including me and my wife) which will never go bac... moreA good majority of the iphone users I know used to have the almighty brand's phone.
Recently one frined of mine, who was pleased with 5310, went for a "cheap" iphone 3GS, didn't like it and sold it (2nd hand!) for around US$372! He is shopping for a new phone again...and primary target is Android.
Symbian? He said "no thanks!"
Anonymous, 30 Dec 2010Who the hell cares about Symbian this, Android that and iOS whatever! Do you want to know why ... moreIn addition to my previous example regarding Motorola Android vs. N97, my friend once was using Motorola U9...a flip phone with crystal talk, and I asked as if he was at home, he said he was at a carnival!
My other friend using 6300 at home and I thought he was at a carnival!
Is the almighty brand really that almighty?
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2010So how successful are HTC and Samsung with their own OS? Their Android phones are the hottest... moreand how long will that last for look at what happened to long term OSs and yes fads do fade away that's why Ollia said it's the pee pants to warm OS they are gonna be warm till something goes wrong or a new OS starts getting popular

By releasing dozens of similar models, the almighty brand is killing its own image! As from a distance, can one really tell if someone is using 5800 or 5230 or whatever? With the E7, how would non-experts tell if one is using N8 or E7 (without opening the keyboard)?
iphone is simple, most people know such is an iphone.
Why every new phone that comes out is compared to iPhone??? Why everybody wants iPhone??? But because is so expensive they can not afford it and they are looking for good reason not to like iPhone??? And what's the good reason not to like iPhone? Antenna? Well when you are ready to come to the world of future you will be welcomed in our Apple Family. Next year when iPhone 5 comes out it will be with 2 dual core CPU's inside the phone. Yea you heard me right, that is 2 dual core processors, today every phone has only single. try to beat that.
Andrew, 30 Dec 2010For thous iphone and android addicted. Know that Nokia makes phones. iphones and androids are ... moreyeah, the Crystal Talk on my Motorola Android based Milestone and my friends XT701 allow us and others be able to clearly listen to what we say, even at super noisy places.
Another friend of mine had the N97 and I could hardly hear what he said, even at home.
Who says Andorid bases smartphones are not PHONES?
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2010The way it introduced the app store certainly revolutionized the "phone" industry...... moreWell every phone has it's goods and bads, Windows mobile is still some how restricted and limited, Nokia might have some limitations but not as much as the other mobile brands.
We are not saying that Apple didn't introduce the App store, it is a big thing to some, but not that great to others like myself, not because it's Apple, but because I don't download games and apps. I use my phone for texting, calling, emails, web browsing and sometimes taking pics (rarely) and this is why I don't see Apple and Android that great of an achievement because they rely too much on their App store and Market place. in countries where you don't have 3G and data packs they will be a total fail.
