Must be many problems, because not durable. Hardware and chipset easy damage by moving and twisting act.
Permanent damage to port connector slot.
Battery unstable unsafe unreliable.
Ok this flexible rumor is from 2013 rumor that never came out on 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 is coming still no flexible phone. lol
dicky, 27 Nov 2016Where is the working product?
They just patented idea so others won't release flexible phones... moreWhere have you been for the last 10 years? XD .Every company do it.
And by the way, did you expect some company to make products first before patenting them? You're out of your mind...
Tourettes Guy, 27 Nov 2016LG innovates Apple innovates Huawei innovates Sony innovates HTC innovates Most of Samsun... moreI find it strange most of those innovators have/will be copying Samsung edge screen in future...
Anonymous, 26 Nov 2016At least when they pattent something is because they are working hard on innovation. Tell me ... moreHaha. You mean Samsung right. They have actually been caught bribing judges. And bloggers. And commenters.
Didn't that judge in the U.K. That ruled in Samsung's favor get a job at Samsung right after. Nothing unusual happened there.
Stick to reading spec sheets. You obviously can't understand anything more complex than that.
been waiting since Samsung showcased in 2013.. Wont be released to market in this decade.. We will see only more cgi concepts
Someone should comeup with transparent smartphone first before these bending and foldable things.
willboyce, 27 Nov 2016Nokia have being working on this for about 5 yearsNow they can throw they 5 year research into the bin - because Samsung has patent.
I suppose if Samsung puts them special batteries in them that they experimented with in the note it should be technically a flexible phone
Where is the working product?
They just patented idea so others won't release flexible phones.
Nobody will work on this because even if they do they will have to pay royalities to samsung because they've got the patent.
Patenting ideas should be forbidden - patents should protect real products.
Tourettes Guy, 27 Nov 2016So how would they make a flexible glass screen? processor? Hardware? Well with the glad I think they sort of have a solution and it's not glass.
But I'm pretty sure those are the obvious obstacles that have us sitting here talking about why it doesn't exist yet
vino41, 27 Nov 2016Apple will sue Samsung, iPhone 6 Plus is the first bendable smartphone.Lol.... Ri8
So how would they make a flexible glass screen? processor? Hardware?
Anonymous, 26 Nov 2016At least when they pattent something is because they are working hard on innovation. Tell me ... moreLG innovates
Most of Samsung's competitors innovate, while Samsung loves copying them
