AnonD-105795, 06 Dec 2016Hahaha a now they blame the air instead of accepting design flaws. It's not a design flaw. It's a manufacturing defect for a batch of phones and if you read the Apple webpage, you'd know they're offering free battery replacements for affected units.
.alpha, 07 Dec 2016I love the way Apple immediately ID the problem, track supply to isolate the source and set up... moreAhhh they released a statement semi admitting fault on the 30-11-16 almost a year after the phones were made? Guess in apple land this is lightening quick.
Guys, learn to read:
It's some chemicals or components that got exposed to air "Before being assembled into battery packs". SO the fault is on the components of the batteries themselves.
I love the way Apple immediately ID the problem, track supply to isolate the source and set up a website so iPhone users can check if their phone is affected. This is in contrast with Samsung's headless chicken style of crisis management.
the reason why the batteries failed was due to "Ambient Air" ???
you mean it came into contact with air? As in air?
And it broke it?
Love you apple, just when i'm feeling down you bring me back up with something awesome like this.
Arun, 06 Dec 2016I checked the replacement program series before i went to the Apple Store, mine was not in the... morewow that's surprising...i really hope u find a solution to it at the end, and the best way is to replace the phone since it's not likely to solve itself or with a software update ^_^
keep me posted anyways and thx for the reply :D
In Pakistan Apple authorized dealer is ignorant of this defect and has no replacement batteries in store. Apple people reading would save their reputation at stake.
All Iphones exposed to Nitrogen , Oxygen or Carbon Dioxide will be void of warranty....

Rex, 06 Dec 2016Typical Apple excuse, everything PR driven. I thought Parts of the phone are kept and assembl... moreAt least, that was products that made late between those range and reason is known by the team first before an independent team investigated it and decided it's Design's flaws to not give the room for the battery.
Roy, 06 Dec 2016It was the same issue with the Iphone 6 as well but they never accepted.nope.
