Wow, if all I am reading here is coming then we are really heading towards a serious Era of Smart phone. It will be fantastic. We would all switch to this technology if successful. Samsung, THE GREAT INNOVATORS.

Aww I am sure your blue will get super washed out before either of them happens. :)

Don't come crying when you have dead pixels or a failed back light
Anonymous, 07 Dec 2016Yeah, it sucks to have more screen estate where but now now are. Better have changeless button... moreSee Sony or LG they uses software buttons instead of hardware still the button bezel are much bigger than Samsung series!

please 3.5mm jack and physical home key.
more battery life instead of much thinner (the reason for removing the 3.5mm jack is to be able to make the phone thinner)
I just hope there is a flat screen option. The edges on the GN7 looked nice but it wasn't comfortable to hold and accidental touches did happen.
meanwhile the next future iphone 8 will use old technology pentile OLED screen from yesteryear. Apple always playing catch up game.
So they are bringing a Super AMOLED PLUS Display again like the one they had on the Galaxy s2. They have more sub pixels compered to the current generation at that time. But then again at that time the galaxy S2's display was insanely good. It was so good it was the best display on a smartphone back when apple introduced the retina display which had a higher pixel density but the Super AMOLED PLUS still looked better. well can't wait to see it on a higher resolution display.
Do whatever you want but please don't remove 3.5 mm audio jack.
It will be exciting to see S8 users next year complaining of getting burn-ins on their phones, lol.
But muh perfect blacks, amirite? /s
Anonymous, 07 Dec 2016Please explain why front facing speakers are bad...and bad acoustics ? ..or give us some links... moreBecause the puny speakers work like tweeters only. No bass and even middle.
To have some bass or middle from them you must put them on box pointing back to reflect the sound.
You can try it yourself. Put some music on your phone and point the speakers toward your face.
Then turn the phone with the speakers pointing back and put your hand palms behind to reflect the sound. There you have the much better sound quality with bass and middle.
That's why the super thin TVs have no front speakers , but speakers point down to make the trick with the desk they are put on, and pointing back to reflect sound with the wall behind.
Of course this way you trade some loudness for the quality, but louder speakers compensate.
Learn acoustic for details.
