Not understand still got people compared with Apple A10.. Doesn't fair & no sense at all coz A10 built specifically for iOS.. If really want to compared.. let SD835 & A10 run on Android OS or both chip run on iOS than look which one is better.. at this moment none has been tested..

But you should always check the small letters, because the meaning of "octa-core" is literally: It contains 8 cores, not in *how* they operate. If someone makes a CPU with 64-cores of which 63 cores are only used for let's say physics, it's still a 64-core CPU. Same with GPU's GPGPU like "1280 CUDA cores"
AnonD-523334, 08 Dec 2016Yes they added 2 cores this year and they will use them next year in A11. then they'll add 4 m... moreDoesn't the SD 810 do this, among most other quad core+ chips? Mediatek markets their chips as true octane core because all cores can be used at once, I think...?
Not a huge leap and as always by the time its out Apple will do better! Shame
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2016Since most apps and games use single core only, single core performance is the most important.Nope. They use multiple cores. Everything from heavy games to basic apps like web browsing and maps and mail.
Why do you think the iPhone doesn't perform that much better in real life despite having better single core, despite having 'better optimisation' and despite having a faster storage?
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2016Since most apps and games use single core only, single core performance is the most important. You obviously have no clue here.
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2016That's what you are doing here.No. Nice try though
AnonD-523334, 08 Dec 2016Of course. he doesn't know anything and constantly talking bull**it. That's what you are doing here.

iphone 6s is a dual core phone. But its single performance is very high and in computing single core is king. Each of the apples core performance almost 2 times the high end phone from other brand.
Even today a high end gaming PC with fast quad core annihilates, slower 8 core.

mir, 08 Dec 2016No one has ever come close to the single core performance of Apple's chips though. Imagine if ... moreThey'd have to reduce the size and clock speed of the cores then. And it would be similar to android. But android is designed to work better with multiple cores than iOS.
