I said 'I', not they. Battery is the extra thing 'I' dont need. It may be your or their thing that they need but not me. I am not most people. Nobody forcing anybody to buy anything. Stop forcing your idea onto people. Why spend money on new battery every few year when you can use that money to buy a new phone. That is the logic im going with.
squareny, 09 Dec 2016A lot of these battery proponents use their smartphones as a laptop replacement, they were nev... moreThats the idea obviously. Some of these people dont get the concept. They think smartphone is the only thing that exist in their world. I mean, dont these people own a laptop beside a smartphone?
Tourettes Guy, 09 Dec 2016It's not a matter of which one is easier to carry. You can just buy a bag to carry your phone ... moreNo, it's not solved. Women carry bags. In fact that is exactly my issue, carry many things.
Also having to charge not one but two things. It's a terrible solution, that I hope it will go away. If not with the return of removable battery, at least with the into ducting of 5000+ Mah batteries in a slim package...

master, 09 Dec 2016shut up, that phone battery on iphone don't last that long they suckYep, ok, I will shut up because you told me to & the iPhone 4s battery sucks.
LG should start taking ideas like sam sam and Apple AND enhance on them.Do some adjustment to the lg ui and bring it as close to Stock Android.
Work on the camera nt tweaking it abit MORE AND make it the best and also the selfie cam to follow by tweaking that also.Anything TheY can do,LG must do it better & LG phone are so cool
derunningman, 09 Dec 2016Bootloop feature is LG greatest invention for you, so you can rest without smartphone addictionExploding and hurting people is samsung invention also dude but the bootloop is so safe :)
I have doubts about sealed battery. Serious software optimization is needed for that. We'll see how it will stand. And shiny glassy surface is not for me too. It's fingerprint magnet after all, and in the end it looks ugly. Make it from quality plastic, with a good grip, with buttons on the back and with attractive price instead of all those giimics and i'll be happy with that. It's like LG was great with LG G4. V10 was quite successful and loved too. But suddenly they had to go in 180 degrees different path. V20 is quite good design IMO. But why experiment with the flagships? They could experiment with midrangers and transfer best ideas to flagships, it would be cheaper IMO.
Non removable battery = more profit and easier to spy on people. For spy topic if u follow Edward Snowden stories then you will know how crazy the government spy on people.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2016Arguably V series (LG) is even higher end phones than G series. So -no- that's not the futur... moreObviously, everything that the G phone has will be directly transferred to the V phone, just improved. The modular design of the G5 was brought to the V20, and just addressed the issues like plastic paint, but is still the same concept. The sealed in battery of the G6 would also be present on the V30, but some issues that will occur with the G6 will be addressed on the V30. That's how the series goes. Samsung only offers removable battery on their budget phones. Even their A series got sealed in batteries as well. Soon, the J series would also be having sealed in batteries. Bezel-less phones are just pure gimmicks, that's why rarely anyone does it. They only make bezels thinner, but not fully gone as on Samsung. I personally prefer the front looks of the S7 more than the S7 Edge because of its uniformity. Unless we finally have a proper, reasonable, and acceptable reason to have bezel-free phones, they won't become a standard in the future
Anonymous, 08 Dec 2016So you are telling me that carrying a power bank is easier than carrying a battery?
The onl... moreIt's not a matter of which one is easier to carry. You can just buy a bag to carry your phone and power bank with, then your problem is solved. After your secondary battery had also made itself to its critical level, there's no more chance of using your device. With power banks, it's like buying 3 or 4 batteries of your phone for the same price a battery cost.
Keeping the phone alive while swapping battery is just impossible. There are tons of internal hardware to integrate to a phone and installing a tiny battery would be irrelevant and useless.
Waterproofing isn't really a feature that you have to use frequently. But it's better to be there than none, because you may never know when you'll need it.
Connecting a phone to a power source is more practical than swapping the batteries. Why? As you swap the battery and the back case, you also loose the tightness of it. 50-100 times of doing it would probably loose its lock to the phone, thus loosing its durability in the end. Sealed in batteries are already good
Tourettes Guy, 09 Dec 2016Which makes me afraid of what our future technology would become after all OEMs have followed ... moreIt's going to be more stale, monotonous and boring than it is now, with a few pockets of innovations here and there like the Mi Mix or Samsung's flexible OLED panels but that's it, unless Apple does something revolutionary which they probably won't because they're too busy taking ideas from other companies these days and putting their own little twist on it.
Anonymous, 08 Dec 20161. You can have both waterproofness and removable battery. For examlple Galaxy S5.
2. The pow... more1. S5 is not truly waterproof, Samsung just paid for that certification. I know this because my friend has one, and within 10 seconds of submerging it underwater, all the ports are messed up, and so does the speaker. He had to take it to Samsung service center just to get everything back again.
2. You know when you'll need to charge with a power bank. Nobody's going to charge their phone if it's still above 30%
Hermes1, 09 Dec 2016Maybe some of us dont want to buy extra batteries because i know im going to buy a new phone e... moreA lot of these battery proponents use their smartphones as a laptop replacement, they were never designed to be that way because battery technology is still very restricted, they're supposed to complement your main devices not replace them but that's just my 2 cents on the matter.
squareny, 08 Dec 2016For once I agree with you but wherever Apple and Samsung goes, the rest of the industry follows. Which makes me afraid of what our future technology would become after all OEMs have followed Apple and Samsung's trend.
