I did not vote since my answer is not in the choices above...
For me, the biggest dealbreaker(s) for the Samsung Galaxy S8 would be:
1. 32GB base storage - it should have at least 64GB and expandable
2. IP68 dust and water resistance is a must... or if they can totally make it waterproof (for diving)
Add an option "none of those is a deal breaker for me" to see more accurate results
Non-removable battery is the dealbreaker.
my last Samsung flagship phone is Note Edge.
and i won't buy any new S-series and/or Note-series with built-in battery.
Non-removable battery is the biggest dealbreaker. But everything mentioned in the vote is dealbreaker. S8 is going to be one of the worst and ugliest phones.
foneluva, 12 Dec 2016Sorry but you are looking for a "Pro" version of the S8? So Samsung must launch a flagship and... moreI think the real problem is people's expectations are too low. They don't care enough about non-removable (The water-proofing argument is ridiculous, of course - most phones are not water-proof and they still don't have removable batteries) or small batteries, they don't care about hybrid sim slots, they don't care about lack of 3.5mm jacks or ridiculously bad speakers. They don't care about fragile glass bodies. And all of these things are not some tech from the future, they don't require efforts - they only require the right policy. And for the money it wouldn't be a high expectation. On the contrary, i think anyone who buys current flagships have 0 self-respect.
OperationBlitz , 11 Dec 2016I agree with this poster, People are expecting to much these from there SMART phones. You ... moreSorry but you are looking for a "Pro" version of the S8? So Samsung must launch a flagship and then release a better more expensive flagship? I mean really? After saying people's expectations are too high for phones nowadays you want a more flagship version of a flagship?
Deal breaker for me is no headphone jack. I don't have an issue with touchwiz. I find Sony stock android very boring to be honest.
Stadtionalist, 12 Dec 2016Unless you want to VR with it, a 4K screen is utterly useless. In fact, I'd say 2K is useless. once you use a 2k screen , try using an Iphone 7 720p screen. looks like minecraft.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2016Yep, or more like Samsung itself. The blind copying and mockery with customers are so disgusti... moreThe moment Samsung continues to follow Apple is the moment you realize the industry is going backwards eliminating features that don't need to be. I love MacBooks but I was angry that they removed USB-A, SD slot, and MagSafe. But I simply don't understand how MacBooks can still have a large 3.5mm headphone jack but a mobile device that we take around with us won't anymore?
Mobile industry is heading into a direction I simply will not give in to. I hate ASUS phones. Bad experiences with their products. I don't like iOS, so a big nope to iPhones. I don't like Samsung's software optimization which lags as it ages. The only ones I will try to support are LG, Nokia, Motorola, Sony, Huawei,OPPO,and maybe HTC again.
Samsung and Apple smartphone users can enjoy their overpriced phones with missing basic features.
Jeffdvx, 11 Dec 2016I'm amused by the fact that "no home button" is listed as a possible deal breaker, that thing ... moreActually there's never additional space and phones with on-screen buttons are always the size of phones with a physical button (iPhone is an exception, their design is simply too idiotic).
supm, 11 Dec 2016Samsung Galaxy S8 is a dealbreaker at itself Yep, or more like Samsung itself. The blind copying and mockery with customers are so disgusting, i'd never consider buying suck an abomination.
The list of deal-breakers is so big. The 3.5mm jack, the non-removable battery, the glass body, the lack of 2 sim slots with a dedicated card slot, the curved screen is idiotic too. The price is ridiculous, at least for a phone with a non-removable battery, not to mention it would be just as useless if it did have a removable battery.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 20163.5mm Jack is a necessity. Just look how dumb iUsers look without it, and stuck with a dilemma... moreAgreed ... Why do Android manufacturers have to copy Apple in every single thing? Android has surpassed IOS as an operating system and still they have this sense of inferiority and try to copy Apple? ...
My deal breakers.... No removable battery, no expansion of memory, no access to FM radio, regardless of carrier, no headphone jack, no home button
3.5mm Jack is a necessity. Just look how dumb iUsers look without it, and stuck with a dilemma - charge phone, no music or music, can't charge. Bluetooth audio is crap, waste of power.
None of those are deal breakers really. Not great, and certainly not features, but not dealbreakers.
Now not having an sd card and exploding on me, those are issues that would causr me to seriously reconsider.
So their copying Apple, just like the pay, finger print unlock and of course the 1st iPhone.
No flat screen which I really hate curve and bigger than 5.2 inches screen. Screen like s7 should be great for average person like me. I'm not giant troll btw
