I much prefer to have a small chin and any space that was to be used by the buttons to be used by *extra* screen (thus making the screen even bigger), than having dumb buttons always standing there, doing nothing for the majority of the time.
It seems Samsung is going to copycat Mi Mix messed and screwed-up with the Galaxy S8 lolz

I mean look at the Pixel, how did on-screen buttons reduce chin? I'm rocking an HTC 10, with a home key and smartly incorporated capacitative keys. No screen real estate lost. Definitely didn't increase chin compared to the Pixel with on-screen keys.
i wish to bring back temperature sensor, humidity sensor and IR sensor.... its possible...?
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2016Apps don't crash in 2016. Never did in my pixel, never will. Go back to your 2007Pixel is still new, give it time to develop system crashes. XD
iPhone 8s will follow Samsung with no home button and minimal bezel screen. It's coming

I am quite happy without one provided there is some way to reset the phone with out it, thus negating the need completely. Not perfect but I don't want to be dependent on software for what should be hardware functions with no backup.
sohail shafayat, 09 Dec 2016I want a home key (atleast a capacitive key) on my phone and some bezels tooi agree
on screen button is suck... they ll eat ur screen
Personally I think it's impractical to completely remove all bezels. Reducing it is fine but when you have trouble holding it without touching the screen then it becomes a problem. 5mm bezel top and bottom with 2mm sides is where we should be aiming for.
