As of December 13, 2016 at 7:54 AM EST Best Buy's website shows the price to be $349.99 US.
What about price cut in Europe, maybe Sony will cut Xperia Z5 Compact price ?

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2016Sony would even give it away for free in the United States but will not or only sell the same ... moreSony's plan right now is "to avoid scale to increase profitability". It means they would sell underpowered phones for higher than average prices. It's actually worked for them as they reported a profit of a few million dollars compared to to last year.
Now I am willing to buy it. Who knows the next time it will be this cheap. $299 is more reasonable than $499. But ideally I personally believe it should sell at $299 tops instead for $499, and with sales and discounts it should sell for $249-$149.
Anonymous, 13 Dec 2016Sony would even give it away for free in the United States but will not or only sell the same ... moreActually, I have suggest Sony to drop the price to let more people have more reason to buy it. Because Sony Xperia always premium design and expensive, so I suggest them to drop the price to competitive with others. Remind you Sony smartphone is very durable, they will gaining with good reputation.
Impressively it costs less than the Xperia Z5 Compact on Amazon!
A way to get people to upgrade directly from Z3 Compact to the X Compact??
Great price to buy. Who don't agree? Only Samsung or iPhone fans. Because they don't used any Sony phone.
Launch it in India and 300$ will become 600$. India gets no love.
AnonD-481725, 13 Dec 2016Looool, again, and iPhone 7 = ~800$, just lol (0_0).What are u talking?? You can get base variant for less than 600$ or 650€. I got my 128gb for 747€. And that phone is more than twice as good as this one
Sony would even give it away for free in the United States but will not or only sell the same devices for $700+ elsewhere in the world. And then wonder why their mobile division is into losses. Such disparity in pricing.
