Australia's largest carrier (Telstra) has already closed its 2G... moreThese phones aren't made for australia or america . They are made for developing countries Where not even 3g network is reliable outside big cities .. "Nokia's main market"
Why is everybody complaining here ? Can you guys even find a smartphone for 40 $ that doesn't lag while making a call , opening contacts and doesn't need charging 2-3 times a day ?
People complaining here like everyone can afford smartphones why live in 90's.. a lot of people live on a monthly income of 40 $.. yes ! it is for them.. there is a reason why feature phones is a big big market even today .. more than 120 million feature phones are sold in a year..
Anonymous, 13 Dec 2016If you disable everything and only leave phone functionality, a smartphone will have at least ... moreBasically, your comment sums up as "get with the times you can do this with a smartphone" nobody who lives close to you gives a crap what you use okay.
DenisXD, 13 Dec 2016sony is known for great battery life actually, and samsung is known for fire issues.. just sayin. That's in the past, their recent phones has the most pathetic battery (Both size and actual performance) in their class.
DenisXD, 13 Dec 2016because of battery life. And the fact that some people dislike smartphones and don't want a to... moreIf you disable everything and only leave phone functionality, a smartphone will have at least as good battery life as a feature phone.
Nokia bring back S40, it was a great feature phone OS or better still, combine all the feature phone OS to create an ultimate feature phone OS for multimedia centric feature phones.
2G GSM? Are you kidding me?
Australia's largest carrier (Telstra) has already closed its 2G network, with the other 2 (Optus and Vodafone) to follow suit in 2017.
Not only does nobody want this rubbish, being 2G only is utterly useless. Most countries have far better coverage with 3G anyway. What was Nokia going for, the worst possible experience they could come up with?
Some people use a second phone only for calling and messaging. They will be very happy to have this type of phones if it included contact sync, whatsapp, viber facility. And suits for people in their mid-old age who doesn't give a s*** about smartphones.
TheOtherGuy, 13 Dec 2016you got to learn how to read first, because you're reading the fact the other way around, sony h... moresamsung is under sony i know.. but my Z5 and the fact that samsung begs isn't the subject. Subject is nokia, and no im not defending them. Im only stating the obvious about these phones and what kind of people need them.
believe it or not nokia kicks ass in battery life.
DenisXD, 13 Dec 2016sony is known for great battery life actually, and samsung is known for fire issues.. just sayin.you got to learn how to read first, because you're reading the fact the other way around, sony has problems with baterry like for at least 3-4 years, and samsung is in a different league from sony
Why even release this phone? Phone from 13 years ago had better specs. Should at least have 3G on the 900/2100 band.
DenisXD, 13 Dec 2016because of battery life. And the fact that some people dislike smartphones and don't want a to... morei'm using your head instead ,it aN walkie-talkie for me and the other 99.9 % of users,so why are you defending this nokia SO hard? you cash 10 $ checks from hmd or what?
I'd certainly get one of these but they'd end up as more or less media players, come on give us at least one 3G capable model.
TheOtherGuy, 13 Dec 2016exactly my point, well saidbecause of battery life. And the fact that some people dislike smartphones and don't want a touchscreen. Use your head other guy..
the title should be : nokia unveils two walkie-talkies, wk 150 and wk 150 ds
