xperia xa successor with 820 then i will buy it. 3gb ram is enough for me. i dont need 6gb ram, only laggy phones need big ram
AnonD-39937, 15 Dec 2016snapdragon 820 next year? this must be a joke, we are waiting for snapdragon 830/835sd 820 is a midranger these days. So whats wrong? nobody says this will be a flagship
AnonD-216319, 15 Dec 2016Nobody in this world needs 8 GB of RAM for a mobile that's irrelevant but Sony is like u will ... moreTotally agree. I'm not asking for 6GB or 8GB.I can even agree Sony fanboys argument that 3gb is enough. But how much more money it takes to add one more gig of ram??? Rather than risking sales figures and arguing that this much is sufficient an blah blah. They are already charging 800 to 850 dollars.
Tourettes Guy, 15 Dec 2016So using an iPhone 6s in 2017 is a bad thing? I mean it's not the fastest, but we don't know y... moreBut man Sony will price it more than 500 at least and can even demand as much as 700. More capable sd821 phones are already cheaper and for that price, in no more than 2 months, u will find phones with all new tech.
When oneplus launches OP X with SD801, No one complaint because they price it likewise. It was 40% cheaper than OP 2 which was already one of the most value for money phones.
Tourettes Guy, 15 Dec 2016So using an iPhone 6s in 2017 is a bad thing? I mean it's not the fastest, but we don't know y... moreUsing an iPhone 6s in 2016 isn't a bad thing. But relaunching the iPhone 6s in June 2016 is surely.
AnonD-303615, 15 Dec 2016Probably an upper mid ranger because SD820 in 2017 doesn't make sense.Agree.
AnonD-542529, 15 Dec 2016I dont get Sony at all. They stated that the mobile devision is not making money and that thee... moreI think they wont be sonys full flagships. Price will be lower than flagships. But still $700. Because there "Full flagship" with SD835 will be $850. overpriced anyway.
7MP, 15 Dec 2016Kinda disappointing, was expecting a SoC 835 running on them. I would only forgive them if the... moreMaybe they are going to launch SD835 phone, but these two will be announced at CES. First phones with SD835 won't come before April. CES is in early January.
Nobody in this world needs 8 GB of RAM for a mobile that's irrelevant but Sony is like u will have to do with 3 GB and an old soc so the only thing really changed in a rather old design and software and cameras is a new model name and a different wallpaper lol
AnonD-39937, 15 Dec 2016No, we want 8GB RAM this time, we want the best of the best.Best? Better skip 8 and just go to Terabyte category of RAM. If Androids still can't multitask properly......
Natsumi579, 15 Dec 2016Please Sony we want 4GB of RAM this time. No, we want 8GB RAM this time, we want the best of the best.
AnonD-231974, 15 Dec 2016Why does Xperia always use an older CPU? Xperia Z used S4pro instead of 600. Z1 used an underc... moreI don't get it also why SONY use old SOCs, it's a bummer. Z would have been great if it had decent SOC. But Z1 had a normal 800, 60-70 MHz wouldn't have made any difference anyway. When Z2 was released it was one the first phones with 3GB of RAM( Samsung Galaxy S5 had just 2GB), so it was a powerhouse. Z3 had the latest SOC, because 805 was made just for big phones (Nexus 6, Note 4). And Xperia XZ has Snapdragon 820 instead of 821, like it should have.
Natsumi579, 15 Dec 2016Please Sony we want 4GB of RAM this time.Yes! this! straight to the point! why sony limiting themselves with 3gb ram flagship while at the same price range, people actually expecting 4gb ram...
Anonymous, 15 Dec 2016you saying the latest is always the best..?yeah, all new generations were better, except 810 because it had basic cores, not custom like most flagship Qualcomm SOCs.
AnonD-303615, 15 Dec 2016Probably an upper mid ranger because SD820 in 2017 doesn't make sense. So using an iPhone 6s in 2017 is a bad thing? I mean it's not the fastest, but we don't know yet. The problem here is that people always ask for high end specs and low price to the point where they really want it to be free. The 820 is a very capable processor and is just succeeded by the 835. A Sony Xperia flagship phone (probably the Z6, Z6 Premium, and Z6 Compact) will be announced at IFA 2017 where Sony's true black magic happens. That's the best time that Apple and Samsung gets out of the market and Sony and Nokia takes their place
ethereal, 15 Dec 2016Hmm. Why not the latest SOC?Probably an upper mid ranger because SD820 in 2017 doesn't make sense.
