By the way, I have an iPhone somewhere ... moreThis is a poll about the iPhone Airpods, this does not effect if Samsung remove the port or not. If they do & they make wireless earphones specifically the S8 that look better then the Airpods then people will be all over it. I know they do their wireless earphones already & from what I have been told they sound better & fit better than the Airpods (this is based on the fact that the Airpods sound no different to the Lightning pods that come with the 7/7+ & the dimensions are the same).
Yes, wires sound better than wireless but if you are willing to spend then you can get some top notch Bluetooth headpones/earphones that sound as good as wired. Personally I use the Sony SBH52 Bluetooth adaptor, sound quality from my wired headphones/earphones is no different if only a little quieter but that was my fault as I should have gone with the SBH54 instead.

By the way, I have an iPhone somewhere in a drawer. I turned it on, used it for about 20 minutes and threw it there - 2 years ago. Never been used since.
There's nothing that makes me want to use such a restricted os. I feel like im logged in with guest mode on widows, but I want administrator rights. Anyway, not here to start a war or something but I think everyone should vote on this. Why?
Cos it seems every brand is a copycat nowadays (let's agree they ALL copy each other). Motorola removed the jack. Apple followed them. Now many Chinese brands remove it. Seems sammy's gonna do it also..
This vote affects all mobile users, not only apple clients.
The same thing happened with removable battery and also SD card slot.
By the way, if a phone doesn't have SD card slot AND waterproof I'm not interested.
Also, you don't have to be an audiophile or audio expert to know headphones with wires are better than wireless ones. Specially those polished with gold.

It doesn't take someone who actually owns an iPhone to see these for what they are.
These are the dumbest pieces of post-modern-art level trash to come out of the tech industry.
Who wants to look like they have an alien fungus growing out of their ear? What is "in" or "with the times" about that? We've trashed on Google Glass, but that's Banana Republic compared to these wireless AirPods.
Obliviously NO, jack need to remain for audiophiles and for commodity
Question, how many of you that said no are actual iPhone users & not iHaters? Just curious.
As an iPhone user I will be stick to my solution as the shape of the normal pods do not fit my ears properly & the headphones & earphones I have produce better sound.
I've just bought the Sennheiser HD700 headphones which have a 6.3mm jack and I already need a 6.3 to 3.5 adapter.
Simce I just bought them, I'm not interested at all in any kind of phone without the 3.5mm jack.
Even if iPhone would still have it, I wouldn't buy one. IOS is not for me.. I'm interested in a flac player from Sony for audiophiles though.
G4M3R, 19 Dec 2016Add a fifth one.
Wireless = Requires charging.Sixth one
Wireless = show off

If you want to make this world a happy place(everyone laughing & smiling @ U) then strongly recommended... :)
my 10$ wired headphone outdoes 500$ wireless phone is sound quality.
unless wireless offers similar or better quality as wired....I ain't switching.
1. iPhone 7 comes with headphones, with lightning plug.
2. iPhone 7 comes with an adapter, so you can use your current headphones if you like.
3. AirPods are simply one of Apple's bluetooth headphones offerings, you can buy any from any brand.
Advantage of Apple's (and Beats) bluetooth offerings are the W1 chip, which makes pairing super smooth compared to normal bluetooth pairing. Check out the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOEpUbZXy90

Duel, 18 Dec 2016I predict these to be big hit, according to reviews they sound same than their wired version, ... moreThe preform is that your can't have it continuously for more than 30-40 minutes!! Again it has to be charged!! Not cool at all!!
Anonymous, 19 Dec 2016Already got a Sony Bluetooth Headset with better sound quality at a lesser price!Exactly!! I have two BT Headsets with NFC & mini speaker BT SBH 54 & 52 from Sony!! They work with some minor flaws but they work in ago devices!! You don't want to spend a fortune on an accessory that only works work with one product while you have tons of other options with lot less price ranges work with all devices!!
About falling out, i have never had anything like this fall out of the ear unless accidential wire pull. I dont see it as a valid argument for normal ears, i did however have a friend who had a problem, he almost completely lacked the flap that covers part of the ear canal opening, but for normal people no, i find it peculiar that so many non-apple users suffer from that extremely rare ear disformity?
