Wow, so many people complaining about Samsung removing the home button. Really? I couldn't care less about removing that scratch magnet, and what if it brakes? I care about more important things, and you guys should too
Julliard, 17 Dec 2016Just pick it up. Or use the alternative pattern password. Is that so hard?Maybe you're working and don't want to constantly be picking up your phone just to check some notification or app?
Pattern is a workaround not a solution. If you have fingerprint on your phone, if it's there, you use it.
"In today's EPISODE NUMBER 'who's still counting' of the Galaxy S8 rumor SAGA..." I'll take it that someone has just seen Rogue One and got thrilled with it first before getting excited about writing a Galaxy S8 article. LOL. Love this
Please, will someone convince Samsung to please KEEP the headphone jack!!
The lack of it will force me to go with Pixel XL.
unknown!!, 17 Dec 2016I Have Used All the Galaxy S series and in my opininon S4 is best!!!in my opinion S7 edge is the best.
Front, back, on screen who cares!?! Just make sure it's fast and responsive which it will be. And lol no it won't hurt sales because the every day user isn't as anal about small details as the readers of this site are.
Just don't take the home button. Take it away and i bet sales will go down. People loved what Samsung did to the S7 series. They listened to the Samsung users.
You should be thankful for Samsung for removing the home button ,i have used every galaxy S and note phone except note7 , since after finger print implementation have you seen the amount scratches these glossy plastic buttons get with little use ,i'd prefer on screen buttons instead

LG superfan, 16 Dec 2016Why people complain about back fp so much its not that bad your finger naturally rest on the s... moreAgreed. I use back-positioned fignerprint scanner when I'm holding my device in my hands or touble tab to wake + smart unlock (bluetooth unlock with a smart band) when it's resting on a flat surface. Extremely convenient and it has an added benefit of being able to unlock the device in one smooth move while taking it out of a pocket

Every phone I have bought since 2006 (the E-250) has been a Samsung phone, and I have bought eight smartphones and two tablets. I am presently using Note 5, and had pre-ordered the Note 7 but unfortunately it was not released in India. Now I am waiting for the Note 8. I am an as big loyalist of Samsung as they come. But let me make it very clear that if the HOME BUTTON is removed, I WILL NOT BUY THE NOTE 8. It is the only things that sets a Samsung phone apart from the rest of the crowd (and, of course, TouchWiz). If the Home button goes, I will simply quit Samsung and go for iPhone.
AnonD-325, 16 Dec 2016I don't like rear mounted fingerprint scanner.i think it's not practical.if samsung does that ... moreActually the home button's FPS is the worse place for today's larger phones.
On the Note(iPhone Plus is even bigger body) and even GSEdge is almost impossible to use the FPS one-handed without to drop the phone.
Great idea. Still the android is the biggest downside, but what else do they have to use as OS? I wish there is an affordable iphone with such great design
Sebstin, 17 Dec 2016Exactly.. Front FP is best.. easy to hold and unlock.. I like S7 very much.. wish it was 4.7" ... moreI agree. I wish there was a 4.7 " phone . One that you could actually use with one hand like the S4 Mini. That is the perfect size device. Now make that size with full screen (and be on Sprint). Would be great!
