Selling just 10% of it already outnumber all the total sales of other smartphones combined. Samsung can sell millions of devices in just a month. They dont need help. How many millions has Oneplus 3 sold? How many millions has Honor 8 sold? How many millions had LGV20 sold? How many millions has Xiaomi Mi5s sold? How many millions has Huawei Mate 9 sold? You get the idea. No one can sell more than Samsung.
Julliard, 20 Dec 2016They would take it as a sign of hope that a fail company can rise again after a few years. That's Right
This must be a wrong way, no gimmicks, but with higher selling price. It's time to move, unless you have a deep pocket to help Samsung cover the Note 7 losing.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016Yeah no. That's just a bunch of made up over exaggerated apple fan bs.Newsflash: I'm not a fan just a technophile who actually used the phone for many hours and truly appreciate the effort Apple puts into their premium products, their phones are worth the money at least unlike *ahem* you know that other company no one gives a shit about ahaha

Then having the added benefit of superior cameras, build quality and constant updates is just the icing on the cake. There's a reason Americans still go crazy for each new iPhone release, at least I can understand their obsession I'm still trying to figure out the cult of Sony lol

And iOS updates have never been anything more than bragging rights. Just because you got an update doesn't mean all those updates always brought you anything and doesn't negate that something else may have gotten less updates but was still more advanced to begin with
Anonymous, 21 Dec 2016well, still a bit overpriced. It is sad but true but samsung is making almost every chip(Snapdragon and exynos) so it will try to recoup the losses from note 7($5 billion) from its chips, screen,RAM,Memmory, camera modules etc and they want to break $25 billion profit record they recorded in 2013. They have monopoly in most Mobile components,so i guess every phone using a snapdragon chip or amoled panels will have its price increased 15-20%.Samsung have to get more than $30 billion in profits somehow.Next year everyone have to pay even more for flagships and midrangers. But one thing is certain,Sony will stick with 3GB of RAM for its next flagship too
I was a big fan of Samsung and had used Note, 1,2,3,4,5 but after switching to LGv10. i think Samsung is not bringing any innovation and getting the prices high. now by doing this hike in price i guess they want to compensate the lost of revenue after Note 7.
What a BS news circulating over the all the media. LOL
If, the not so big BOM(production) price is 15% higher than the GS7/Edge's BOM, why the presstitutes write that the price of the GS8/Edge will be 15% higher then the selling price of GS7/Edge????? Can you see the math difference? ROTFL.
Oh, I get it. Bashing Samsung must go on.
Price increase makes sense as samsung has to cover note 7 losses and increased quality insurance costs that they never invested that much in the past

that's what greed can do
it is expected by shamesung since the fall of ill-fated S7, to cover-up the loss will make S8 much more expensive.

Lets see what HTC delivers on their next flagship, they almost always never disappoint and I don't expect anything less this time around either.
Anonymous, 20 Dec 2016They are only the fastest some years, better benchmarks has never guaranteed anything, and the... moreIt all boils down to personal preference. I use my moms iPhone 6S Plus from time-to-time and trust me the difference is night and day; it's very fast and responsive, and the screen is really sharp and vivid for a 1080p panel. Real world performance backs up synthetic benchmarks, all apps open quickly, multitasking is a breeze and the phone is constantly getting updates. And the camera is still better than most Android phones except for the S7 and Pixel, possibly even the V20 in some cases. I'm starting to have serious iPhone envy and the XZ just can't compete, heck the top tier Android phones barely can. Still I hate it's restrictive nature which is why I'll always be with #teamandroid.
Anonymous, 20 Dec 2016I do have to add though, Samsung may be the overall leader in sales and marketing, however man... moreI don't think dual camera trumps out larger camera sensor and being the first dual photo diode one.
And samsung has been using quality Wolfman audio dac for years. And touchwiz still has more features.
You also have a better and more expensive display and storage in the Galaxy line too.
