Tracking via cell towers is not precise, GPS is way better. So with an app like this you do not need anyway the telecom companies help.

deep space bar, 18 Jan 2011RIM is the company BBOS is the OS get it right man XD I won't say calling RIM OS neccessary a flawed term though. As far as i know, BB is the only OS RIM developed.

Over here, people call windows, the microsoft OS. We don't call it windows OS, for windows is already a OS.

If you find that an eye sore, my appologies, but i see that you got the meaning pretty spot on and i see that the term has delivered what its meant to.

You guys are imagining things. Stop being sensitive and admit that all OS are lousy, inclusive of symbian. Then we won't see so much pride in users, and we won't see people worshipping a mere brand.

Many of the apps does the same things but its the choice we have that make the difference. I don't have to install each and every single app esp if the available apps isn't what i am looking for. Get that right.

I don't have to install each and every single app in android, but most of those i installed ain't available on symbian. If you don't know whats the advantage of having a huge list of apps to choose from, i rest my case.

i agree bout s60v5 though. it just sucks ass. if the n8 came with it i would not have bought it at all. in fact i hate ALL s60v5 phones! thank god symbian^3 came out!

While you had good experience with symbian, i didn't had such an opportunity with the S60V5. The Android V2.1 then convinced me that its a more suitable OS for me, at the point in time. One HUGE difference is the number of apps available. I realized that with a smart phone, i need apps. If i need a good camera and phone function, i don't need a smart phone.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011You pick your phones based on the size of your pockets? thats a little bit sad. if it's so big that it can't fit in my pockets, or its bulk becomes a nuisance, or forces me te change my contemporary line of jeans, then it defeats the whole rationale of being a "cellphone" IMO

it is possible to track down your cell, even if it wasn't a smartphone, provided you have strings to pull in your local telcos.

The technology is there, them telcos just say it's not possible for obvious reasons. *shades of 1984 big brother*

seeing how this phone is designed it's perfect in your hand
big screen means your hands aren't cramped and the 4 speakers are at each side directed to your face while you are playing or watching movies will give you the full surround sound feel

and since the screen is big your hands wont be covering any of the speakers

i just visualized it by holding my N8

                                        and it's perfect
