Anyway, more than 90% of the time, an N8 is used without being connected to a TV or an USB device. A SGS has no usb-on-the go and no HDMI. But anyway, 90% of the videos shot with a phone end up on youtube, and 90% of the pictures on facebook. So USB-on-the-go and HDMI is not so essential. Anyway, even if you want to display your photos/videos on a TV you still can, either through the SGS TV-out or a laptop on which you copy said pictures/videos, if yout TV does not have DLNA."
where the hell are you getting such statistics? I use the HDMI and USB OTG quite often actually
GSMArena should make a survey about what phone users require from their phone mostly.
I would list:
Browser speed, screen quality, screen responsiveness, OS (overall speed), available applications, connectivity, size, weight, cover quality. Then they should allow users to rank their phones according to these criteria and.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011nHD not equal with HD. 480x800 is better than nHD. lol. thats y he said it was 1/9 of the full hd resolution. which enables it to have a 16:9 ratio, perfect for multimedia. 800x400 gives you a 16:10 ratio instead. not as great as 16:10 but still good

Even means 12-12 or 13-13, not 25-7 xD.

same with maemo5,i had the n900 before
linux kernel made the phone have really poor battery life
and the same thing with android why the battery is so poor
Myself, 17 Jan 2011ye talkin about the i8910 that barely got any bug fixes from Samsung? Look, the reason Symbian... moreWait a minute. You said the Galaxy S lags in comparison to the 5800? My colleague is holding a 5800 right now and he himself is complaining that it lags compared to both my phones. And i did claim that the galaxy S is as smooth as both my iPhone4 and Nexus one. He claimed that he has it updated. Is that firmware you talked about official?
adkane, 17 Jan 2011Actuqlly he knows that pretty well. He is just refering android with windows in a metaforical way.Actually i still doubt if he knows what he is talking? Cos if i want to bring down android, i definately will not mention linux performance over windows. Android and windows mobile are different animals altogether. However, haters/worshippers will see iOS, Android and Windows to be on the same ship.
adkane, 17 Jan 2011that is the arrogance from ios and android users that really irritates meYes, it is arrogance to boast when you have the best hardware. But what's the word defining a person who boasts about something weaker and trashes the better things?

I played with the Galaxy S previously, i find it as silky smooth as my iPhone4 and Nexus One.
Alright, lets not talk about i8910HD then. How about Nokia's very own N97? If Nokia can't get their very own symbian S60V5 on their then flagship phone, how can they expect others to be better? N97 lags when compared to both iPhone4 and Nexus One. Or was it that S60V5 was never intended to be for touchscreen phones, therefore its a failure when touch screen phones are concerned?

There are 4 tests that cannot be run on the N8, therefore the "no result yet".
So SGS is better in 25 tests, N8 in 7.
I would say 25-7 is a huge difference.
