Why do people here keep on promoting Android ? We're talking about a Music service NOT phone OS's.
Did Androids have any built-in free unlimited music offers?
Did Nokia force anyone to use Ovi Music ?
Ovi Music was a great service but DRM doomed it. And it's not Nokia's fault, it's the record companies/ artists/ producers fault.

Symbian totally sucks, and Ovi Store is a completely useless joke and Ovi Maps is not good at all even though it is "free" and Ovi Music never was any good. Nokia need to wake up and abandon Symbian, as every other manufacturer already have done. MeeGo is a waste of time and money when Android is all and more than MeeGo will ever become. If Nokia join the Android-world then users will be the winners and it will be easy to make apps and games... I hope Android will become the universal OS for all consumer-devices, from phones to computers, as even the phones today have fast enough cpu and gpu so there should not be any need for separate OS for phones and computers...

Good, I hate restrictions that were imposed. they used that wma format which was useless. I guess they were spending too much time and money to manage the DRM associated with it.
I would like the ability to buy music introduced in india, they don't have that option here:( It is better to buy music online, than to go to the store and buy CD's and then convert it mp3.

Why do big companies refuse to see the light if something is dead why try to keep flogging it.
Nokia OS just dosent cut it so why keep going.
why do Mircrosoft keep puting windwos on tablets when
it would be better off with a windows Phone 7 tablet instead
and why did palm make the Pre 2 with a couple of things different and the basically the same handset, which was the reason people didnt buy it in the first place.
why does Rim not get its figure and a produce a truly great handset with the same amount of effort they put into there playbook.
And why do Apple keep making products with missing basic features with the same boring OS
my only answer is that they have spent so much money they have to make it back some how

Anyway, good riddance to bad rubbish. CWM was a misguided idea at best and, as Ovi Music is excellent, especially with Ovi Suite 3, there's simply no need for it.
