They ditched OnePlus because of greed in favor of Micromax. Now they have closed shop!
AnonD-624691, 25 Dec 2016Will there be Nougat updates for Oneplus One? Is my phone use cyanogenMOD or cyanogenOS?? It used to be called CyanogenMod S then changed its name to Cyanogen OS.
Damn it was nice knowing you Cyanogen OS, I'll always remember the good ol' OPO days thanks for the memory and updates.
Anonymous, 26 Dec 2016Too bad, CM was a good option for advance user after bought galaxy note or S series with bloat... moreThey should've invested their time and work on a decent OS, not the half-baked, forever-in-beta Android OS. Oh well... Not feeling sorry. I've upgraded to Windows on Lumia 950XL. Tops any Android device out there.
The company also confirmed its next open-source initiative Lineage OS with some of the original team on board carrying forward CyanogenMod development, however, in a new avatar: "Embracing that spirit, we the community of developers, designers, device maintainers and translators have taken the steps necessary to produce a fork of the CM source code and pending patches. This is more than just a 'rebrand'. This fork will return to the grassroots community effort that used to define CM while maintaining the professional quality and reliability you have come to expect more recently," added the team in blog post.

Should have aimed better...
Cynogen nailed it own coffin when they decided to part ways with oneplus.
instead of starting OS after OS from the scratch why can the smart developers support bigger projects like Amazon Fire OS, Tizen etc
atleast the project will be well supported by biggies like Amazon, Samsung, Intel etc
Too bad, CM was a good option for advance user after bought galaxy note or S series with bloatware. Thanks for your hardwork
Yea ok this is happening! Care to share why??
I know why! Would like to hear i from the horse's mouth!! Disgusted.
When did open source (free) turn into opportunistic (paid) ?
Not impressed, take it down, no one will miss it. AOSP will continue, source code will continue, it can't be taken down lol.
Shocking behaviour from a rattle throwing bunch of kids, pathetic.
Textbook example of a group of guys with a good product idea but no clue on how to run a company.
Good riddance Cyanogen!
CM will live on but glad to see the company and that arrogant CEO go
What happened to world domination? Lol
Anonymous, 25 Dec 2016U still dun have to. I will upgrade my phone every 2 years cos i barely pay anything thru cont... moreHaving a new phone is no excuse to leave the previous models "artificially" useless (as CM has shown, proper support brings lots of life into them). Less waste means a better world for everyone (even the sockholders of the manufacturers you are buying from... although they aren't aware of it -- yet).
Anonymous, 25 Dec 2016Time to move from OnePlus One.Will there be Nougat updates for Oneplus One? Is my phone use cyanogenMOD or cyanogenOS??
Anonymous, 25 Dec 2016LoL that s right .. microsoft can't be a good friend because killing them after a while ..Cyanogen Inc began bleeding to death when Oneplus severed ties with it. Microsoft only delayed its death by a little bit
