I have 2 + a Cromebit for my TV ... I bought Chromebook for my mom and she loves it.

There are a lot more tablet supported apps coming now now days too, but even majority of the phone-made apps look just as good. I feel Chrome OS is going to be a major competitor for Microsoft. Especially once google becomes more of an entity within the carrier/ISP market.
Having Google Fiber (1gbps) would be an incredible experience having data or even video games steamed to your device faster than even conventional hard drives could read/write.

Ya $500 is laughable
LMAO 500 for that? Should be 300 tops.
What's the use of such a device? It's inferior to everything on the market - the "OS" is practically a big zero.
Good sensible specs: Full HD, 12.5" display, 4gb RAM, 64gb expandable, Core M3, USB C Charge port!
