Those 5 Nokia-branded devices will be just generic Chineese phones, like the ones made by TCL for BlackBerry. You're gonna be disappointed, guys.
All the Chinese smartphone markets will shrink and shink next year. The time has come! Everything will be back to normal just like old times..
I´ll buy one asap.
Their best bet will be releasing a direct competitor to the OnePlus 3/3T. That would give Nokia good base to target the Galaxy S and iPhones later on. If and only if HMD can reproduce the same Nokia kind of quality hardware. Nokia would've been a force to reckon with had it opted for Android at the very first.

I want to see premium flagships
Anonymous, 27 Dec 2016Oh man, none of them smaller than 5 inches?5 is the new compact, unfortunately.
nokia doesn't need an expensive, flagship phone right now. iconic as they are, they are still relatively unknown in the smartphone space, and nobody wants to spend too much for an "unknown". just give us a good, well-engineered midranger for not too much money, and watch that fanbase explode.
That render looks nice... like a revamped E71.
Clean software(something like OnePlus) and a capable chipset with sdCard option + Service centres like good old days (in India) -> Xiaomi will vanish like it was never here in the first place.
Nobody wants to buy ( phones with sdcard weak processor) or (limited storage phones with good processor.)
PS : Fed up of Xiaomi's layer and their pathetic ringtones.
Oh man, none of them smaller than 5 inches?
its too late, but i will definitely buy one.
That means no sooner than march/April 2017. And the price would be in euro in EU. So 150 euro for
- 5inch 1080p
- Nougat 7
- 2GB / 16GB
- 430 & Adreno 505
- Battery? 3000?
- DTS? USB C type?
All that for just 150 euro.. way better than Xiaomi for EU customers.
As long as there is a quality control, and the feel of old nokia holds, the phones are going to be a hit, I always liked the build quality of lumia phones.
imagine Nokia selling their phones with competitive prices like oneplus and Xiaomi , i bet they will be no1 OEM in just one year if they can build enough to catter for demand.
they'd better come to nigeria big time..... infinix ain't cutting it no more
