The specs of the first Galaxy S were amazing, but Samsung managed to kill the performance of the device through unoptimized software and very bad choice of file system (RFS). This lead to severe lag in the device, and it would become virtually useless after sometime that you have to reboot it. Amateur programmers (www.xda-developers.com) tried to solve this problem through fixes that replaced the RFS file system with ext4 which is faster. But given that this fix is not from Samsung, it fixed something and broke something else
I am hoping that Samsung has learned a lesson from this and that this sequel to the Galaxy S would not suffer the same fate of having magnificent hardware that is rendered useless by bad software

ok so apple own the mini-tablet shape then? i have a galaxy and have used the 3gs that its always being referred to and the galaxy is a fa Superior design inside and out and besides until we here about the next Iphone your fanboy responses are irrelevant.

Screen looks like iphones. I think the reason why most phone manufacturers are adopting and making android phones like crazy is because they want to imitate apple's iphone. And no other UI can best do that imitation better than android. And they making a boat load of money doing so. But Still can't beat iphone.

That picture can't be real.. It's not only the exterior that looks like the iPhone (with the metal surrounding) it's the menu too.. I doubt Samsung did that..

samsung fones apart from extreme hardware comes preloaded with extremely buggy firmware and a promise of -no further upgrades
as soon as we come up up with our new fone which would be like in 6 months
