It's funny how the Nokia news are the most commented, Nokia really still the best and the most popular brand around.

Even Samsung is better than SE, Samsung is developing their own OS at least, I'm sure that they are using Android only to get enough funds until Bada grows. (:

The most pathetic reason was the "Bravia engine", you are comparing a LCD to a Nokia ClearBlack AMOLED that is rivaling Super AMOLED? LOL

              ^How badly SE.
^They dont even have their own OS.
^That such a pity thing that se is living on others to support their handset
^they dont have minds to develop their Os.
^se has only one r&d center and thats too in desparate state.
^se sack out 4000 employ to reduce the debt and to reduce the expenses.
^first ask them to develop os and then challenge

says they're still number one. even the
ones that left nokia, they are coming
back to nokia because nokia is putting
out good phones like the n900, n8, c7,
(potentially) n9.... and dont try being smart with me...
nokia is 40% market share, apple is
4%... wat does THAT say about nokia?
exactly... your pie hole doesn't seem to
                        be as open now.
with intel, mozilla, amd, bmw, linux, qualcomm, gmc, etc all joining nokia to
support meego, apple will be like dried
dog turd stuck between the crevis of
                        nokia's unused grass-cutting boot.
dont even think to compare nokia to
apple. they are two companies with COMPLETELY different mind-sets, different
                        strategies, and different goals.

ex n900 user, 21 Jan 2011Will be very exiting to see if this device delivers... I'm kind of looking forward to it since... moreThats where you're wrong man... this is why there's such an advantage to meego. Because it's QT based, its the most advanced platform to run apps on. QT runs on language "C" and "C++" which are the most powerful languages using for programming. being based on that, its possible to run so many other languages. meego will run 100% of symbian, maemo and linux kernel based applications. the n9 will be entering the market with about as many apps available for it as bb and android.
yes of course there wont be soo many apps specfically for meego at first, but you're going to see so many developers jump on this band wagon just cause its so easy to work with and so many options. I gaurentee within the first year of realise of this phone, someone will make android apps fully compatible with it as well.

                            the options are endless.

Will be very exiting to see if this device delivers... I'm kind of looking forward to it since the meego "builds on" Maemo (one of if not the best OS I have tried on a mobile device) The biggest problem I see (same with win7) is lack of Apps... that is what does it for Apple and Android alike and to some degree Symbian. Need your phone to be able to do something... there is probably an app for that. Nice and simple. And you have just gotten your new phone and want to do stuff with it... WORST CASE SENARIO: you go to "appstore" and it only has 10 apps 6 of which are wallpapers, 2 others which turn out to be just bookmarks for some website, a Document viewer that stays read only forever and a stupid game have fun with your new device and FU ;-)
I know that somewhere down the line the new OS will have more apps but straight out of the box it sucks not to be able to get anything on it, be it games, DVD collector app, Geocashing or whatever you fancy. I hope Nokia steps up and do not repeat their Maemo launch... The n900 could have been so much more!

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2011Bottom line the N9 is the perfect phone!!! you're right, if the n9 has everything they think it might, then the n9 will be the nexy phone every company will try to compete against. and even if people think 1.2ghz + 800mb ram isn't enough, they dont realise that meego requires atleast 20-30% less power than android phones to do the same task. 1.2 ghz + 800mb ram will act equivialently to an adroid 1.5ghz + 1 gb ram, or even 1ghz dual core + 500mb ram.
                                        Nokia will take the crown.
