I understand your reservations but this assumption isnt based on facts. Its my assumptions. The rest are all facts like qt, apps etc. You see, i watch market trends. I watch a learn strategies of other companies and methods used to turn around companies. Nokia have done just that. Restrategised, re-evaluated their position and set contingency plans to prevent a further landslide. Now those plans are in motion and about to be deployed with a fresh new product. It could go pear shaped from here on (could go either way for nokia - either a big positive impact on the market or an absolute disaster) but i doubt that. Just my hunch ;) Go ahead buy some nokia stock now ;)

Unfortunately, that wouldn't make a unsuccessful brand/phone successful if you think it would. You can be sure that the N9 won't even achieve 10% of iPhone sales.
I do have much reservations about Nokia being #1, if you may.

Maemo was for Linux-geeks and not userfriendly at all, but I hope MeeGo will be userfriendly. It is a problem with an os depending inly on one company, or two with Intel, because Nokia can decide to suddenly abandon MeeGo as they abandoned Maemo.
The best would be if all devices, computers phones dvd-players cars..., all used the same open free os, so that all devices easily could comunicate with eachother and games and apps and... all could be made for the same os. MeeGo and Android should join into a new open os free for all to use...

Nokia needs 1 core to run the os and the other to power my lightbulbs at home! This is a phone for gods sake. That is why there are gpu's. Others are going about things the wrong way. They wont even use all that power and even if they do then its bye bye battery power.

but meego is a realy heavy os as it provides mch more functionality(full desktop linux apps)
so N9 will need higher cpu for providin more functionality rather than jst eye candy what android or ios does

The n9 has a headstart with apps so whz would they want android apps? This os isnt to be still born and hence nokia has changed their strategy for their phones. The n8 and others can run qt and therefore its a developers dream. Now they create one app and it works for 2 different os's! What a pleasure. That is why nokia are tempting developers to qt. This qt framework is easy to use and create apps. Now that was clever by nokia. Dedicated linux apps would just be the killer blow that nokia would dish out once that takes off. N9 is destined for glory and has its place in the market pre-booked set for an assault on its competitors.

[deleted post]didnt i told you that the gl benchmark test were inconclusive for the n8 cause glbenchmark did not update their app and it cant be run on the n8. stop using half truths.
