"The machine-translated source mentions something about it being an Intel Atom, but we can't imagine a way of stuffing the good old x86 Atom in a smarphone. Instead our guess is the N9 is based on the Intel Moorestown platform,"
Sorry GSMArena, it will Intel Atom. Intel wanted MeeGo because they said that Windows 7 did not take full advantage of the Atom processors.
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2011You know, I do not like iPhone either, but darn, they just had 10 BILLION downloads. How many ... morewhy are you even comparing to an os which hasn't been released for the mobile world officially.
and like i said. iphone MUST have apps. if not, enjoy your brick
[deleted post]You know, I do not like iPhone either, but darn, they just had 10 BILLION downloads. How many MeeGo had?:)
I have never been an early adopter of phones from Nokia but with the N9 I will definitely pre-order if all the specs in the write up are true. Feb 14th - 17th I'll see me scanning my RSS feeds for confirmation. Nokia "all eyes on you".
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2011"Meego rocks" is an exaggerated speculation, considering the bugs:) Having tested the Meego v1.1 on my n900,can only come to 1 conclusion - Meego rocks! That's no speculation.
adkane, 24 Jan 2011Well the best thing that we can all do is just wait and see. No speculations needed :)"Meego rocks" is an exaggerated speculation, considering the bugs:)
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2011Check the bug links on that page. All have entries in January 2011.Same old story, read the whole thing, check the date when bug was reported,,,,can go on and on,example:
Bug 7074 - Incoming call can not be answered if dialer not open when call is received.
Reported: 2010-09-21 07:58 PDT by sage
Modified: 2011-01-13 22:36 PST
Tested with meego-handset-armv7l-n900
With this project release, developers will be able to work on future device and user experience software development, while simultaneously participating in the MeeGo project to complete the Handset UX in the upcoming 1.2 release.
Like i said before this MeeGo v1.1 is for developers, all bugs associated with this version were discovered last year and most probably fixed by now.
Good thing on our side is we know when the final product comes,N9,it's just perfect.

[deleted post]you are such a noobie, that software release was an early release and for developers to start working on apps and software.
All these issue will be attended shortly if haven't been attended already.
Nokia might do what they did last year and hold their own Conference (duo to maybe the software being not fully ready) but then again Nokia is full of surprises so you never know.
not yet release, this must be a popular smartphone already due to lots of comments.
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2011Symbian is popular as hell. That's why Nokia moves to MeeGo:)
Whatever you guys do...Shout, Yell, Scream or Screech...its no use. The good old "SYMBIAN" will die soon...All manufacturers have already dropped this crappy/tacky OS (Samsung was the recent one)...As its Nokia's in house developed OS it will take sometime for them to get rid of it...Instead of "Manufacturer Specific OS", its the era of a "Global OS" which makes users change their brands without changing their Apps/Personal Datas or an OS which they are used to...And for that I suppose the future of Mobile OS in "ANDROID"...Its not very long that we ill be seeing NOKIAs running on ANDROID OS...
[deleted post]so funny how you guys come bashing about yo favourite Adroids on Nokia forum,
why don't u post Adroid things in Adroid phone comments, guess not that interesting hey.
some1 asked why you are here.WHY?
Answer - Don't wanna miss nokia party.ha ha ha ow yeah,
Evidently Nokia is top dog around here, this has almost 700 comments. Sony Ericsson is next best! From my igarbage 4
