everyone's comparing symbian and android. It's almost like comparing a single country to a continent. Symbian is used only by Nokia (now) and every other Phone company except Apple use android. Apple and Nokia play the game with dignity, honour, pride and confidence. Others just give in and join in.

They have eaten into the european market but asia is massive and so is africa. They form bulk of the nokia users anyway and to tell you the truth, iOS is weak there because of the phones being priced like gold. I'd rather buy the gold! Take a look at the meego os. Have a look at its os thus far. I'd say on par if not better than android. I an not basing this just on looks alone. Meego is pure linux and hence the os has more potential than android as it runs a kernel. Take computer programs and put it on this phone without even modifying it in any way it it would work. Not all programs but a good lot would. Now android has to rewrite the program to make that happen. This is not just a smartphone but a mobile computor. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING....AGAIN!!

Meego os is mobile embedded full linux based os. Same as android oh! Wait android has a modified linux kernel. Which mean it's half linux ha ha ha. Fool try to study about android more fanboy and oh! Meego os is nothing like bada,web os or black berry os it's completely different. Mobile computing is possible in meego not on android os. This phone has dual core arm cortex a9 1.2 processor. You can't face the fact that meego will be the true king not android. Meego in android out.....

please don't bash on Nokia. Nokia had always a great phones but were paired with the bad os.now the time has changed meego will be future for Nokia just they have to quick with it and develop it. android didn't grow in a day since its eclair version it was not at all popular.so give some time it is also similar as android both are Linux based.just have to wait and see how it goes. and ppl don't ever compare the speed of phone with processor speed and amount of ram.it would be always different for different. and those who say Google is best well to say the first android os was not made by Google it was a some small company.later they bought the whole company and poured money and talent to get to this state.so give meego some time to develope and then there would be fight for all os. well meego in simple words is a sword in hackers hand.

If those are Indeed the specs it sounds great (couldve been better with dual core) but knowing Nokia they'll Launch this phone next year or something... rendering every piece of hardware obsolete.

If this phone comes with 1.2ghz processor, keyboard, big display, 12mp camera n new ui(possibly meego), Nokia will be a very big hit in 2011.
It seemed Nokia had stopped making such good devices(though N8 is great camera phone). Will be waiting for this to come out. Hope it shows up in MWC.

Me and my friends we use ANDROIDS we can do quite much with ANDROIDS .
IF u see on web which phones was mostly sold on sweden from NO 1 untill 10 all of them run ANDROID OS .

Is Symbian 3 exclusive to Nokia? Because I cannot see any other mobile phone companies using this OS.
In a market where Android and even WM 7 is thriving, I don't think Symbian can survive. Nokia has dropped the ball.

some people are funny. They said higher the megapixel better the photo, and were bragging about their pixon and what not, and when N8 was released they were the ones who said megapixel race is over, megapixel is nothing and all bullsh*t. The same people are the one who brag about their snapdragons and hummingbirds and 1Ghz processor. Now that the N9 has 1.2 ghz processor, they'll are gonna say 1ghz is enough and more doesn't mean better. Funny people. For my taste Meego is too much of a computer OS, i rather have symbian^4, maybe, but let it both arrive first. Posting shouldn't be difficult.
