Anonymous, 23 Jan 2011dude you seriously need to consult your psychiatrist...3x optical zoom on 9.9 mm thick body????i was also surprise

as science is progressing anything is possible.

                          For e.g.-telepathy is possible
~u can store ur brain memory in hard disk in coming 5years.
~Man to become immortal in 20yrs.
~space shuttle like warp engine can surpass velocity of light.etc

but the nokia designer say it could be possible to have optical zoom in 9.5 thick mobile also as my bro is in nokia research centre.

                                  imho nokia/symbian has two problems:

-pretty much no support for older devices, for example nokia 6120classic(symbian s60v3fp1) had good battery life, no lag on j2me apps on frimware v3.x, but then later updates brkoke those, and then later fix'ed battery life, but j2me apps are still laggy, even build-in towerblox game lags, and its nearly unplayable

-lack of apps in general, n-gage 2.0 had some good games, but ovi store dont have any, or it has, but most of them are lame j2me ports or just crappy, symbian^3 kinda fixed it, but still android and iOS has more useful apps and games

Megalord, 22 Jan 2011Oh? How does the 3x optical zoom, xenon flash camera system on the altek Leo sound like? Oh bt... more10 reasons why Symbian is better than Android

nokia best voice quality nokia is better then all phones about the fail and death of Symbian mobile operative system. Apple iOS, Android or even Microsoft Windows Phone are now in better terms with blogs and press. Despite the loss of market share, Symbian phones are still having a good number of sales. Sure, there are a lots of things Nokia can do to improve the system, but now, I want to give you ten reasons why I think Symbian is still better than its natural rival, Android.
*.Price. Android phones need more processor power and internal memory, so they save money on other materials and components. With the same amount of money, you can buy a Symbian phone with better materials and hardware features than any Android device.
*.GPS. Ovi Maps are far better than Google Maps. It is not needed to be on-line to use Ovi Maps, and you can get guided voice directions anywhere inthe world.
*.Camera. Usually, Android phones donot have dedicated camera buttons, including the controls on the touch screen. Sensors, optics and overall camera, video and picture quality are worse than their Nokia counterparts.
*.Battery life. Symbian was designedfor a low energy consumption. Symbiansmartphones have a better battery life than Android ones.
*.No data plan required. Today it is becoming more and more common to contract data service to use it on your smartphone. Symbian devices can be used in this way, with a permanent connection, but it is not needed, you still can use most of it without one. Android phones are more “internet” directed devices, almost every Google service needs a connection.
*.Form factor. There is little difference among Android models, vast majority are touch screen phones. Nokia Symbian catalogue has touch screen models, sliders, full qwerty and every usual form factor you need.
*.Support. You do not buy an Android phone. You buy a Samsung, HTC or a Huawei device, and guaranteeand support are done by those companies. Nokia has the best support service worldwide.
*.Fragmentation. There are different Android versions, sometimes with overlaying manufacturer or network operator software. This fragmentation makes difficult for programmers to adapt their creations to different screen sizes or Android versions. As a result, you can buy and download a non working program from Android Market to your phone.
*.Privacy. Android ‘with Google’, includes the usual Google apps. This company already has a lot of personal information from its users derived from the search engine. I am afraid to give Google, or any other big company, my mobile information: search, mail or location. With Symbian you are not relying so much on Nokia, for example, I have the option to use Ovi Store without having an Ovi email account.

i personaly like android but nt ios for their bluetooth BUT
all the features that android and ios has now, its been there in s60 since symbian started. When iphone releases something like video calling, "its revelutionary" even if its through wifi only (they say mind blowing) AS IF THEY HAVEN'T SEEN 6680 DOING IT THROUGH 3G NETWORK.
When USB on the Go was released in nokia n8, isn't that truely a revelutionary?BLIND FANBOYS? People say only n8 has the best camera... I say go back to past and check my dear blind fanboys.. NOKIA USES CARL ZEISS LENS WHICH IS USED IN CYBER SHOT CAMERAS
Let me start with 2mp cam
N90 rules in 2mp photo and video capturing
                                        In 3.2mp cam
N93 which has the first DVD Like video capturing + 3X OPTICAL zoom
                                        In 5mp cam
N95 does and n82 with xenon
                                        In 8mp cam
                                        N86
About built quality i think every1 knows about n8's quality..
In the screen department gsmarena reports nokia clear black display has the best colour reproduction...
i have used iphone 4 but dont like b'cuz i dnt want a smartphn without bluetooth data transfer(i dnt call it smart) and very closed os(i want it according my wish). I have also used htc desire, samsung g s and x10, i like android but i see it also lags wen around 8 or 10 apps are running... also froyo in SGS is slow while swyping through homescreens... Even though there are 100000 apps, ppl including me will hardly use 20+ apps.. So there nothing to say symbian sucks as it does everthing 1 wants and depends on your needs.. And meego well advanced.. In my opinion nokia always gives a wide range of products so that they can select the one that fits their need.. NOT TO MENTION WHEN I HAD PROPER NETWORK COVERAGE ON NOKIA, IT WAS LESS ON DESIRE AT THE SAME PLACE THE PHONE WAS HELD HAVING THE SAME CELLULAR COMPANY
