I think it's great that they made a mid range phone have a 3.5" screen. Most mid-range phones now spots a 3.2/3.3" screens. Since its running android 2.2, its software should not be a problem. The only thing thats left wondering is the camera/video quality..and they better update it to 2.3 after a few mths..samsung has a tendency of releasing phones after phones but forgetting to update thier previous phones. Well, at least theyre not as bad as SE.X10 still stuck at 1.6 for some regions.lol!

Some guy from Greece, 25 Jan 2011I don't see how it is a problem that it looks like iPhone. After all it isn't some copy. Samsu... moreIt doesn't really look like a direct clone of the iPhone. I've seen some China-clones that looks more like a copy. The speaker slot on the top looks like the one on the iPhone, the icon on the dock at the bottom of the screen looks like a rip off and if touch wiz is on this thing then the app drawer will surely be like an iPhone app screen clone.
I have a Galaxy S and I must admit that Touch Wiz is like an attempt to bring a bit of iPhone into an Android device. I rooted my phone though and there's not a bit of hint of Touch Wiz left.
It's a wonderful device but IMO, the skin, which is supposed to add value, looks like it was inspired by the iPhone and that is not a bad thing in terms of marketting. The Galaxy S line sold well and that's what really matters.

I don't see how it is a problem that it looks like iPhone. After all it isn't some copy. Samsung logo is pretty dinstictive, it's not like they to fool the customers.
Unless of course the average customer can't find a reason good enough to get the iPhone instead of this. Maybe Samsung's effort is just that. To give the message that the iPhone's experience can be offered through a device that costs half the money...
If that is Samsung's plan, the visual resemblance is tha right way to effect the purpose.

With a 3.5 inch screen, you really expect WVGA. HVGA isnt the best choice. Unless they price this well, an HTC Desire would be far better after its price drops
