But seriously, stop atacking Nokia as if everyone had a North American mind, as I've said: different people have differente needs, and different expectations, respect them.
Why is it difficult to update an android phone. i never had this problem with Nokia. i helped a friend update his X10 only to find out a week later that a new version is out. And without this update ur phone is quite useless as 1.6 phone cant run 2.2 apps. This is unlike iPhone or symbian. I will just stick to Symbian for now.
A PC is better becos its easier to update than android. Gosh i need that n900 ASAP

I refer you to usb standard link, USB OTG is a modified 1394 specification. Allowing Host capabilities to USB micro-AB ports. Anything else you want to refer to? I won't need to go into detail about my experiences in tech hardware support, even if I told you; you would discredit it as all fanboys do. I never said anything about how you said that Symbian^3 is easier to navigate, I referred to it as a general statement, how nokia fanboys here in the past have always said that it was much easier for them to use their Nokia devices when compared to iOS and Android. I pointed out that its contradictory to all reviews available. So anything else you want to mention?
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31921&page=108
here you go, some N900 users were able to modify drivers and get USB OTG working. OH wait, you said its a hardware requirement? As far as I know the N900 wasn't OTG certified? how did this happen?! O EM G!!!11!!! It defies all logic!

Also, you certanly never had seen Maemo, it's extremely good looking and all reviewers says that.
Nokia sucks at design. Mainly user interface design, which is the most important aspect of any device, not 12MP cameras and HDMI. Symbian has the most archaic design elements, it feels like it was made originally to be very basic, with bad patches and half job add ons over time. It's an interface held together by duct tape and chewing gum.
Nokia sucks so bad at interface design, that MeeGo took Moblins UI completely. There's no hint of Maemo in MeeGo's UI, because it sucked.
Just take any S60 handset and go through the menus. Mainly the settings and the applications menus. It makes little sense.

--> Reported full year 2010 results (not the Non-IFRS)
--> Operating profit: 73%
Don't pick random numbers. Nokia did lot better in Q4 than Q3 which actually is improvement... Anually speaking they are still doing better than before with 5% increse of the volume of devices and 5% on sales.

"Like I said, majority of their sales are in third world developing countries like India, and rural China. Where the people are uneducated and aren't up to date."
Wrong.
Anual volumes increased in rural, third world Europe by 5% in 2010 (from 2009) and 35% in Q4 (from Q3).

"Nokia's bid on S^3 and N8 as their saving grace was a big failure."
Wrong.
Again. Smartphone volumes increase on Q4. Note that S^3 was released about at the half of this quarter.

Oh.. And Meego IS another Os.

Well, I've never mentioned that Symbian is easier to navigate than Android or iOS, Android and iOS are more user friendly and that's a truth. Seriously, I do like Android, the only system I don't like is iOS because of its stupid limitations, but N8 is better for me, USB On-the-go, HDMI port and an extremely good camera that you can carry around on your pocket is very useful for me and also, N8 got any feature that other smartphones have, even not being the best. Galaxy S is not good for me for example, it got a better looking OS and a more friendly UI but that's doesn't matter too much for me, seriously, it's just a matter of what's your needs.
But as I've said, I DO like Android, I just think that N8 is more useful for my needs, but Android fanboys are becoming more annoying than iPhone fanboys, respect the others opinions, the world isn't made only of North Americans.

The only "hardware" feature it has is the adapter allowing a full USB port to mate to the devices. After that is all drivers, seriously... I'm beginning to feel pity for Nokia fanboys. You guys keep saying how its more functional, yet I have yet to see any proof of functionality on S^3 being superior to iOS or Android. You mention that it easier for you to navigate, yet that is one of the main complaint of Symbian, accessibility, most reviews complain how hard it is to just get to certain menu options, but hey knowing fanboys you guys will just write it off as those review sites getting paid by competitors huh?
[deleted post]USB OTG is a hardware feature. Can't be done in software as it requires "host" USB hardware, whereas other phones only have "client" hardware.
I happen to prefer the UI of S60/Sym^3 to iOS or 'Droid. It's not just more familiar, but also more useful IMHO. I can get more done while actually doing less than my sister can with her Galaxy S - if only the hardware on my N97 Mini was faster! :--P
Guys, you should appreciate competition... :\
Melbourne, 27 Jan 2011I think the only way out would be Nokia joining Android and make best out of it. "the only way out"
Out of where excactly?
I think the only way out would be Nokia joining Android and make best out of it.
[deleted post]"Profits plummets 26%, smart phone market share shrinks to 31%"
You're wrong actually. Profits icreased by 73%... Now shrinks (???) to 31%? We talk about the one thrird of the global market, here, don't we?
Gather up nokia defense force! Lol! Anyway all of my family arent using nokia anymore, except for my little sister still using a crapy nokia phone, shes planning for an android phone next week
inhale, 27 Jan 2011I belive nokia is done, they have the same interface on the cheapest phone (ex.2330) and most ... morethere going own but sell more then the next 3 competitors put together? right ok...
look nokia haters , i swear 2010 was maybe bad for nokia but i swear when meego comes out , meego will kill andriod and the ios believe me

Here are some figures for you:
2009 - Nok... moreSomehow, none of the haters seems to be able to comment on your post.
YoY (2009-2010) 73% up for operating profit, QoQ (3d10-4th10) 119% for operating profit.
Nokia did better this year than the previous with 5% increase in sales and 5% increase in volume. But they did even more impressive in this 4th quarter compared to the 3rd!
i kinda like nokia, but in for 400 to 500 euros what do they offer?
- n8 has good camera but that s it.
-only 256 ram while other have 512
-1200 mAh vs 1500
- fixed focus on c7
stop saving money on those materials!!! and give us more ram battery and cpu for the same price
Nokia's biggest problems are the constant lies they tell. They never deliver there products on time, by the time the product is released its a dinosaur compared to other released mobile phones. I absolutely hate that about them.
Plus they're soo far behind in the OS race, it's like theyve never seen the competitions devices.
Its getting old Nokia... The N8 is getting boring... Slow response times and horrible UI... I'm tired of having to listen to Android and iOS fanboys tell me what I know deep down to be true.
Step up your game or I'm gone this year.
