Pomelo, 11 Jan 2017Most of the ppl claiming that they have 9.7 pro and there is no difference between air and pro... moreThey are not lying, read or watch comparisons or experience of people online. The Apple iPad keyboards are not comfortable at all to type with (really, read any review) and the logitech alternatives are much more comfortable and work with any iPad.
Saying it has the best stylus is so wrong. Read comparisons with the Surface stylus to know what a good stylus is.
The only difference with the screen is slightly better contrast, the original Air already went super bright and had almost equally great color reproduction. The only difference in reflections is caused by the display being a layer closer to the glass.
Use the Air and Pro side by side even and you will notice the differences are there, but they are very small and completely not worth the upgrade. The Pro is just a name, it's essentially the iPad Air 3 that they needed a reason to charge more for by making sub-par accessories. If you want a good work machine, just get the Surface or the Macbook Air if you need Apple, both are without any comparisons much better alternatives and whether the marketing made you feel it's alright to actually work on the iPad Pro, or whether you are sceptical too like you should be, the iPad is still a media consumption device and anything other than the most basic works ever are (and I can't believe I'm even stating the obvious) without any comparisons better on a laptop or Windows hybrid.
Most of the ppl claiming that they have 9.7 pro and there is no difference between air and pro are lying. Also the ones claiming that logitech pen or any other stylus is similar or better than apple pen.
Go for pro if you want to buy an ipad. The screen is much brighter than air, so you have no problem for reading in sunlight and the reflection on screen is much less comparing to air, so it is much more comfortable to work with. Also the 4speakers are amazing, and color reproduction is much better than air.
But for me the point is the apple pen. It is expensive, but by far the best stylus that I have ever used since 2011. I do a lot of writing and also I am an amateur cartoonist. The pen feels amazing, nothing is close to it. Even for an app like 53, apple pen is much better than 53 pen! And unfortunately you cant use the pen on air.
I bought an apple I pad 3, 64 gb + 4g, brand new from N1 wireless for 200.00, 18.00 shipping and handling. It arrived in time for Christmas. Your offer is crap
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2017Didn't know you can multitask properly and use keyboard and pens with iPad Air? It's as if it'... moreI have a keyboard and Pen for the Air, so yeah you can use them, theyre just made by Logitech and not by Apple so theyre better quality.
This doesnt change the fact that its not enough to make me actually use them much as for me iPad is a content consumption tool. I cant see how you can possibly do work on it, sorry. And yeah I stand by my original statement that the Air is the same as the Pro, with Pro opening large apps somewhat faster anf being marketed differently.
Simon, 10 Jan 2017I agree with the other points though. The iPad Air was probably the best tablet of its time. I... moreDidn't know you can multitask properly and use keyboard and pens with iPad Air? It's as if it's inadvisable to buy a pro tool if you don't have use of its special functions ... Whadayaknow?
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2017Ultrabook? Can do more? More playing around with settings, yes, but for work Not. No, ipads ar... moreHaha , funny casual.
IPads can't code, can't Photoshop, can't edit videos properly, can't play real games. It's a baby computer and that's fine if priced accordingly. But with Pro they went on and priced it in real computer prices ... No wonder they lose sales.
I loooove the tablet form , but not when it costs $1000 ... Btw basically why surface Pro is a fail too, with that kind of money you can buy an actual laptop with twice Surface Pro's specs...

The iPad Air was probably the best tablet of its time. In fact, I returned a 9.7 inch Pro simply because I couldn't tell a difference at all. I really mean it, they feel the same.

Getting rid of extra stock before launching a new product is always a good idea.

More playing around with settings, yes, but for work Not. No, ipads are still the most versatile devices, like it or not but there are no realistic alternatives. However, most users who want Pro would be just fine with a regular IPad Air 2, so theres definitely lots of money to save still. iPads are too good, the old ipad air (1) is still so good and performs so awesome that replacing it would be ridiculous and a waste of money.
I just bought a 128 GB laptop for 499$, so only 32 GB and only the screen/"tablet" for $499 is too expensive!
Can you tell me if the features wifi cellular retina are available in the GB32...if not can you inform me how much ?
Already got one at $440 this past Black Friday with $50 Target gift card.
Should of been the release price of this gizmo. IPad air pro is basically the iPad air 3 with the new features (that all new versions of a gadget have) charged extra (in typical apple manner).
It's too expensive with the new one being in the way. In fact more than 500 for a tablet is a lot period! For 700 to 800 you can get a very respectable ultrabook doing far more.
They should had stayer with the 500 price. No wonder they see their iPad sales falling. Finally added new features but then went on and charged them extra.
