Never put a woman as CEO.
This was the only rival of Google which could have stepped its game to give a competition at least.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2017I get what you said, in simple words, Yahoo would be the next Kodak. A pioneer who didn't like... moreAnd I too get what you are saying (smile).
D8Sen, 10 Jan 2017What's next? What about the mail @yahoo.com? I'm registering all my account with yahoo mail. H... morenothing will happen with it. It will be exactly as usual. It's like when in the early days folks had the googlemail.com domain in the end of their email address. Those addresses still exist, now it's just gmail.com, but similarly, yours will stay as it is
if you call vegetation being alive..
yes, it works, yes it's there, but compared to how many % they owned back in their hay days, what it could had been like the others, is not even a shadow of itself
it's been dead not for years but decades
This happens when a female takes every top decision for a company, I am sorry guys but during her period as CEO I didn't saw any innovation from yahoo for some time they tried to copy google products but they failed.
for e.g They bought Aviate launcher and changed everything people loved about that launcher they tried to force various yahoo services and finally no one is interested in it any more.
Their weather app has not seen changes since many years just like all yahoo app hope this time yahoo will choose a capable CEO.
Heretic, 10 Jan 2017And now yahoo is dead.No its not. Yahoo is bought by Verizon. Thats it! The same way Lenovo bought Motorola.
Rott in Hell Yahoo!
Because when you accidentally open Yahoo you do "Alt-Tab-ah". Get it? :-D>

AnonD-1385, 10 Jan 2017Many youngsters here won't know but Yahoo! is a pioneer in the World Wide Web ever since the W... moreYahoo wasn't the first website but it was made early (Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle)
Also Yahoo Search was powered by a small new company called Google and since a lot of people were seeing "Yahoo search is powered by Google" ,They started to go directly to Google which was basically a search engine site at a time were the internet was very slow that opening it was faster than Yahoo with all its stuff (somehow Yahoo made Google famous)
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2017Anyone remember Yahoo radio? It was the Spotify at the time
It is best radio
Great Dude, 10 Jan 2017Altaba is the part of Yahoo that wasn't sold to Verzion meaning that Verzion still have the ch... moredo it! haha...
AnonD-1385, 10 Jan 2017To ITHEHAPPY: You are dead wrong, Yahoo! is still very much alive. My Yahoo mail works well... moreI am using the yahoo answers now app and its good.
AnonD-29640, 10 Jan 2017What will gonna happen to our yahoo account then? That depends on Verzion, but probably nothing and it should continue normally especially since Verzion isn't changing the name "yahoo" (it is the part of Yahoo that wasn't sold to Verzion ,they probably changed the name to get rid of confusion)
dexterouz, 10 Jan 2017And just when you thought, nothing will go worst. They declare the new name "Altaba"Yahoo is still Yahoo under Verzion
It is the part that wasn't sold to Verzion that changed the name
AnonD-558092, 10 Jan 2017Altaba? Where did they found that name? Yahoo is dying, and I don't know what Verizon found in... moreSince it is for Yahoo Japan and Alibaba it could be a Japanese word or "Alternative AliBaba"
Just assuming.
AnonD-492870, 10 Jan 2017Altaba sounds promising...much better than what I would have come up with: Verizahoo!Altaba is the part of Yahoo that wasn't sold to Verzion meaning that Verzion still have the chance to name it Verizahoo
Fayth, 10 Jan 2017what will happen to my Yahoo!mail account?Your mail will continue working normally since the Brand Yahoo is too powerful to be changed
Also Altaba isn't the part of Yahoo that was sold to Verzion

A pioneer who didn't like to change, made many horrible decisions/takeovers and to add salt to injury, employed a terrible CEO.
