Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017Why were you expecting much from something new?Because it's Opera. I always wanted a fast and smooth browser with Opera like functionality for my old laptop. They already done great job with current Opera browser so I wasn't expecting any less. Neon works faster so I got excited. But yeah, it's in early stage, so mabe in time they will add more stuff.

It must be fantastic for people who don't work anywhere near an office. When was the last time you installed something on a work computer? Unless they come up with a browser that magically doesn't require installation, I'm stuck with IE9

UI is nice and smooth, page rendering is good, browser works fast overall, no stutter on my cheap slow laptop, but... doesn't support extensions, no themes, no VPN feature like on the regular Opera and you can't even add your own pages in speed dial. Also the page icons on the right is a bit too big, looks odd, and of course no option to resize them. Uninstalled after 10 minutes.

If more browsers would add this level of functionality...I imagine the possibilities.
