Nexus 6p, Bluetooth pairing is impossible on 7.1.1 on my caddy, like hundreds if not thousands of other 5x,n6 and pixel phones, users are experiencing.
Issue is known since October as beta testers reported,
Everything worked with nougat 7.0,just look at Google forums...Issues are known and everything asked as tried.
On my side I called or better choice of words is had a Google callback where they acknowledged the problem, but said No timeframe is given for a fix...That was Dec 12,
So I dont get how a few here say they have zero issues, when world-wide users report the contrary.
Google has to respond, they have openly acknowledged nothing in writing and only to the select few who dared ask for a callback.
Very professional Googled,if this is your best of Google experience you claim is top notch, well for me I may just switch to...Ughh iPhone, where every thing works without Major glitches. Car Bluetooth connectivity is needed for safety driving.
that's so true , faced the same issue back when i installed the beta version of android 7.1.1 then i was forced to revers back to the official version which was 7.0 , and when the version 7.1.1 was officially launched i thought the Bluetooth issue will be fixed ! unfortunately they don't fix it :/
PS : still didn't install January update ! will post another comment if it work :)
This happens in my 2011 Chevy 2500HD. It connects briefly then disconnects. It has done this since the beta release.
I was having issues with two of my cars where it did not connect anymore. I wouldn't connect to the phone as a phone device and one would connect, but only as a media player. I noticed recently that my watch was automatically answering the call when I clicked answer on the phone. When I turned the answering off on my watch it resolved my Bluetooth issues with both of my Chevrolet vehicles. I hope this helps if somebody else has the same setup. It seems that it should work on both devices but I could only see very limited times when I would need to talk on my watch so I opted for the car to work first. I made this change over a week ago and it has worked flawlessly and both vehicles since.
I am having a Nexus6P. I had the issue with Nougat 7.1.1 update, but it is now resolved with the January 2017 security update. The in-car bluetooth pairing works fine now for me.
Besides having this problem in the car, I'm also having the problem at home when I connect via Bluetooth with my home phone. It connects just fine but when trying to make or receive calls all you hear is very loud static, just like in my car. I wish I could go back to using 7.0. I had hoped that by the January release Google would have come up with a fix. I remember having this same issue back with the Samsung Galaxy S3 when they released the first update after it came out. Then when they released the next update it was fixed. Sorry I don't remember what version that was at the time, just that I had the same problem. I also have the Nexus 6P and an 2007 Infiniti G35X. Thanks
I haven't noticed any Bluetooth issues on my 5X. It always connects to my 2014 Ford Fiesta as soon as I turn on the engine.
Just forget the pairing.. Restart the car media to connect to bluetooth mode, search for bluetooth again and pair it.. It works fine. I tried it on Nissan Altima 2016.
I have a Nexus 6p. When I had the Bluetooth issues I went to battery optimization in settings and turned off the optimization for Bluetooth MIDI service, Bluetooth share, Call Management, Call Log Backup & Restore, Call Management, Phone and Phone Services. That seems to have fixed the problem at least so far so good! I hope this helps all of you, cheers!
I've been having this with my Pixel as well and my new car. They stopped connecting reliably and I have to connect manually from the phone BT menu, not the car
I had Bluetooth car issues starting with the Nexus 6, then 6p. Android version it started with was Android 6. Not sure this is a new issue.
This has been reported and is a "low" priority concern. There are either a number of bugs -OR- one big bug that creates several negative effects.
I appreciated having problems with a good samaritan 9-1-1 call a couple days ago.
Try again , pumping out update after update at the speed of light just too look good without due QC , there's no value in it if it's full of bugs.
Mya, 13 Jan 2017My redmi note 3 on cm14 7.1.1 also faces Bluetooth issuesI think you should switch cz cyanogen is no longer supported, or you can wait until lineage OS (the successor) is out and install it
I reported bluetooth not connecting to my car last year, and the traces I supplied clearly showed my 6p automatically sending a pin of 0000, which Google fixed when I was still in beta Nougat. Might be a new issue though, but mine still works fine.
Just a tip as a temporary fix just turn your Bluetooth off and back on. I know it's annoying but it will work until they fix the issue permanently
